1. I don't think many people will trust you on this site with only 4 posts ( I know I don't have many posts, but I'm pretty sure i'm right lol).

2. Those red and blue swirls above your head just show that you hit someone ( I think only with a ranged attack), Amazons get it when the hit a monster with an arrow, it doesn't show that you leached life, try it sometime with a lvl 1 bowzon.

LMFAO, wat kinda noobs are posting here, lemme tell u this, once and for all and i wish i could Close this thread cause u people are idiots. Blessed hammer is NOT physical, if u read the Little description under it it says realeases a MAGICAL hammer. also, Melle dmg Like a barb ww, fury,zeal, w.e Works for Lifeleach, Only melee dmg that does not work with life leach/mana is smite, which works with life tap. The only exception to this rule is zon with her arrows. The Necro cannot leach Life/mana Or life tap (from an item *attacking*) And nor Can a Hammerdin, Understand that! Please, A mod... close this frickin thread.

bit of a heated debate i started here!!! But i think i have solved some of it!

Blessed Hammer indeed seems to be magical damage, however Concentration, the aura normally used with such an attack adds physical damage, therefore resulting in both types of damage.

I think that is right!?

But i still don't know if mana and life leach work!!

Yes it does work, why else would hammerdins use equipment such as bk ring or a fcr ring with life leech unless life leech works for blessed hammer? Also, how would i be constantly casting blessed hammer and constantly getting hit at the same time and my health and mana arent going down? I must be stealing their life and mana cuz im not hacking this is on closed battle net.

bk ring is for the life mod.. not the leech. and no1 uses fcr leech rings. hammers r magic and are casted. u can only leech through melee or arching.

Man this is screwed up... Lemme set things straight:

1. HAMMERS DO NOT LEACH!!!! The red and blue swirls your seeing are they mana per kill or life per kill mods that come on enigma and many other items.
2. Hammers are magic damage, not physical damage... Even when I was new to this game I knew that.
3. Bone spirit/Bone spear/Teeth are magical attacks, and no they dont leach.
4. I don't get why smite doesn't leach, that's pretty stupid seeing as it's completely physical...

^^This man is right, HAMMERS DO NOT LEECH. Spells do not leech, for example ( the much debated hammer, bone spirit, and druids tornado. Leech only happens when your character fires an arrow or bolt, or physically hits them. My reasoning for the reason that smite doesn't leech is because it already has quite good mods, like knockback and stunning, and if you added mana and life leech it would be far to powerful.

Another thing I have noticed is when you are hit, those blue/red swirls appear, so I have ni idea what they mean, except that I know they are deffinatly NOT leech signs.

Also digimortal you said that your life wasn't going down, but therefore it should be going up with the 8k (approx) damage hammers do.

smite cant leech because ur not attacking with a weapon, ur attacking with your shield..

maybe if ur shield had a leech mod it would work. o.O

i infact have experimented with leeching many times to perfect an open character so let me share my knowlage that i have gain through countless hours of experiment. i have prove my facts many times over.
1. the red swirl is when u either life leech or life per kill. the blue is when u either mana leech or mana per kill. the white swirl is when the blue and red swirl over lap
2. hammers is magic dmg as well as what i call holy dmg (which is dmg to undead) i have not tested enough to no if hammers are physically as well because im not fond of hammerdins
3. bone skills from the necro are magic and dont leech through leeching items or life tap
im not sure if hammers leech or not so i wont deny the possibility.....u can all believe what u want and/or say that im wrong or that i lie but i have tested this mana tims to know that these facts are indeed facts
