sometimes my diablo 2 LoD on bnet is very smooth and fast and my pings only like 50 but then usually other times it can go into the 500's or higher. Im using Telus highspeed internet and use norton anti virus 2005 (not sure if that would have anything todo with it, but once i put it on like 2 days later it started doing this) if anyone could please help me find out why its doing this itd be very helpful, thanks in advanceSmile

I have been experiencing more lag as well in D2. The only possible reason i can think of is probably that Blizzard reduced the number of servers on Bnet that are dedicated to D2 with their recent update to 1.11 (they probaly want to give WOW more resource since new players are constantly signing up). There is nothing you can do about that except wait for less and less people play [Image: rolleyes%281%29.gif]

BTW This is by no means a fact I’m just making a good guess here.

Hey, Loits, I think that You ought to shut the hell up with Your speculations!!!111, You cannot blame Blizzard for reducing the number of servers if You haven't got any solid facts!!~~``

I heard that it's the dupers that are causing lag on the realms, as the methods that they use (such as Bone Prison spamming), cause lag in other peoples' games as well...

What do you mean?

My speculation makes sense, it's not like there was no duping before 1.11 it's just that it has become noticeable in the 1.11 days hence meaning that no. of servers has decreased.

I think it has more to do with the methods now used to dupe in 1.11. In 1.10 I think the methods were a lot more...discrete where as now theyare not.

mine is lagging to like there will only be 2 ppl and ill lag out, YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM THE SERVER, whats up with that???

iunno but some of my friends are lagging like i am and some arnt, like all today my ping as been 400 + i meen this is getting rediculos, a week ago it used to be always 90 or below...

If I remember correctly, then at least the dupes in 1.09 were not lag related, but may have been as well...

I have a sexy connection, and the other day I was playing, doing some cowruns for HRs, when "Boom" I was suddenly surrounded by cows and died. So I thought "WTF Mates?!", because it looked like they were teleporting, but it was actually massive lag... I have never lagged like that before, and it's certainly not my connection...
Oh yeah! is there a way of seeing Your lag without MH?

By the way, today I actually stopped playing because the lag was unbearable. All the Baalruns that I entered showed "Connection Interrupted", and after that I got about 10 "Failed To Join Game"s in a row. -.-

Goddamn Blizzard, they really ought to sort their servers out.
I feel sorry for HC players especially.
