big problem

so when i try to use d2loader i get the message "Common Init Failed".
i got tired of all the problems with all the hacks and mods i have on D2
so i decided to reinstall diablo 2 and i went to use the program thingy that shows your cd keys and that didnt work either. so i just want to know how
to fix d2loader or better yet a new show cd key program.

i did
i have the newest version
and i downloaded the newest version of showcdkey
and when i run they it doesnt respond
but what i think started this was when i downloaded
a mod and it said to backup some files and i didnt backup one of them
so im going to assum thats where the problem starts
so i still need help

Which show cd key are you using, a lot of them are for 1.10 or 1.11 (not 1.11b). See http://battleforums.com/showthread.php?t=110439 for a 1.11b cd key viewer.

Common init failed means either yu didn't do a full D2 install or it isn't patched properly.
