I play Diablo, am 18, and have had a credit card ever since I was 14. People are not dumb for haveing private info on their computer. As long as they keep up decent firewalls and virus protection, it is not stupid at all. Blizzard on the other hand ignores it. Drop it now. You don't have an arguement. If You're not going to sign, don't post in this thread.

Blizz should look at the petition! this time they have gone too far. This isnt about weather we get banned or not Or weather we use hacks or not. Its about blizzard having access to all your files. Any programmers will know that commercial source code is worth Thousands and blizzard have full access to any code you may have wrote ect.

I am working at Blizzard, banning people with Warden. Then I think "Sh*t man, I need some cash for the new XBox 360". Then I just check someones computer for a credit card number, and order a new XBox 360". That is what Blizzard can do to you!!! -.-

i just started playin D2 again and just log in to d2sector again just today (i mean blizz sector) and after reading this.. "sh*t whats goin on??" .. is this the subpatch that we got after v1.11?? sorry i havent been playin for like 6 months..

welcome back bolong...and yes this is the subpatch, namely warden. it is *meant* to check for hacks and stuff, but how it's doing it is what is under question here...also it makes lots and lots of lag

seriously, think about this:

does maphack really give you an ADVANTAGE?

in most games, baal games especialy, sorcs/pallys are EXPECTED to tele. in long runs, maphack is not only beneficial to the runs, but make the run what it is.

Sure someone can tele to lvl 3, then throne, but without maphack how much longer will it take with no maphack?

I see no advantages to a pure maphack, no teleporting vectors, no scrolling, no chicken, just pure maphack. That is a good thing, not a bad thing that people get angry about in games.

Even in duel games maphack doesnt make a big deal...so what if you can see where your teleing, I mean REALLY.

Blizzard goes on and on about "unfair advantages"

But really, the people with no maphacks WANT other people to have these "advantages" so things run smoother.

*i wrote this "essay" using maphack as the main focus because that is what most people use

There is no possibility of a Fully Automated hack detector to buy an x box and steal your code.... really. If You know what warden is then you know that everything it does is automated and it does it all on your computer, not from a remote location. The only thing the program is designed to do(and the only thing it CAN do) is detect hacks and bots and let blizzard know so they can ban you(this is most likely automated also). So why not be afraid Your mother will steal you "private" information?? Also, try reading the b-net terms of Service. However I like hacks so i will sign the petition. But yeah i never thought of it that way. How does the warden go into your computer when you have a firewall up. Is there a backdoor in diablo II? Do we put our real names or our d2sector names on this thing?

I believe that people want to fight more of an ideological war. Of course, I am pretty sure that no-one from Blizzard is actually going to buy a new xbox with Your credit card (after all, it's all traceable). The fact is that in my opinion, many people are just angry because they got banned/can't use hacks, etc, so they are doing all their best to be a pain in the ass to Blizzard, because that's what Blizzard is being.

I have 1 cd key and have never been banned i signed it cuase its my computer and my private info there-on. I also am appauled that sumone got banned while scanning for viruses

Warden is a program to detect any third party programs that are running while you are playing Diablo. Blizzard isn't going to pry into your personal information such as credit card numbers. The Warden is just protecting their software from third party programs. You can have as many people as you like petition against Blizzard, but just remember this, the hackers started it.

Hey if you have a firewall shouldnt that stop the warden from being able to scan your computer? I signed the petition too because i really want blizzard to go back to the way it was during the 10 patch. back then life was great.
