I think it would be a bad idea to use such hacks on my main account so if make a new account and use a new cd key can my main account also get banned just for being in same game as the *cheating* account?.

If not then its a good idea but if it will notice its the same person on both accounts.......is that possible?.

I believe that as long as no hacks are used on the main account then it will not be banned. Now if you are using an entirely new cdkey, as long as you don't play the main account with hacks there is no worry. It is ok for you to have the same account in a game which the hack is being used (I believe you are implying that you're using a d2loader) - just like I said - don't use any hacks with the main account.

(Like I said - I'm pretty sure about this, but maybe a mod could verify?)

well technically it wont matter how many cd keys you use. They go by your ip address and all you accounts tied to it. I have already thought of that. So what I have done is went to my freinds house made a new account on there and put all my stuff on it and use the account on my computer as a dummy account to mf, bug rush etc. Just make sure your freind doesnt use mh though lol. Oh last mass ban i lost all my accounts even the ones i did not go on And the ones my freind's gave me when they quit so i think once you go on there they get tied to your ip not sure.

you could possible do something to your ip address though if you wanted too.
