That's true, but some people like the higher Charge damage (which also isn't that much).

Yea...you can also take flail...but if you put the rest of the points into charge scourge will be better.

:\ smite takes care of most everything, charge just gets you close enough to smite the ranged attackers... i rarely use it for the dmg, and thanks i think the cheap stuff will help until i trade for the good stuff

Correction, You're wrong. CB on weapon DOES affect smite

PMH does NOT work with Übers. Works with Diablo Clone, but not the Übers in Über tristram. Nature's Peace is therefore useless. I'd suggest another Raven for more DEX, or You can use Dwarf Star for more life and Fire Absorb.

This build does not have enough life to survive Mephisto's Charged Bolt.

Essentially, I think that Zaka is essential for any Pala that wants to take on Übers, You cannot really get around it.

I know that this is a cheap guide, but if we already consider Zaka, You should add Shael Shael Heaven's Light +3 skills. (Only 1 shael if You use Highlord's). Heaven's Light has +3 skills, 33% cb and IAS breakpoint can easily be achieved.

Open Wounds has the same effect, since it stops all forms of healing, and theoretically should work on Übers. I've never really noticed it though, since I damage them faster than they can heal anyway.

My current character was build for PvP purposes, so logic states that it should be less efficient at dealing with Übers. Yes, in terms of power. No, in terms of survival.

My setup for Übers includes perfect Mara's Kaleidoscope (30%), perfect Um'ed Kira's (85%) Guardian and Sanctuary sacred rondache (103%), which, along with a few other items with various resistances, make Mephisto's Conviction aura seem like a joke. Yes, those are rather expensive items, but there are plenty of alternatives that do pretty much the same thing. As a last resort, you can use Salvation aura. Survival matters more than power, since fighting Übers isn't a "quickly in, quickly out" kind of task, and Pandemonium Tristram is the worst place to die.

As for damage reduction, I'm forced to cut down to only 23%, but it seems to be more than enough, considering that the Übers and their minions rely more on elemental damage than physical, and that I have nearly 4K life.

I got a question, I have guardian angel [199%ED], was wondering if it was worth up'ing. The strength would be like 196 or sumtin so dunno if it worth it, also would a CoH archon [860 def] work better than guardian angel?

Highlord's > Cat's Eye in my opinion
NN Natures, either use dual Ravens or Raven + Dwarf (life + fire absorb)
If not using Drac's use Laying of Hands. The 350% extra damage to demons is a real bosskiller (all bosses are demons).

Well those are good suggestions I can't afford those shields or armor yet so trying to make do with what I have. I will use the laying of hands tho and see if I can get hilords [whats hilords worth on USW-L anyways]

highlords is prolly around a um rune. Yeah i just tried laying hands on the ubers seems better then dracs for the extra damage. highlords is just good for ias and 1skill cuase deadly strike doesn't affect smiters from what i hear.

A few questions...
The runewords Treachery, Obedience, and Black. Do all of these work on NONLADDER??
Also, I've heard some people support the use of fhr charms, some people say they don't matter. If you don't use fhr charms, what would be an alternative for your inventory? Other than skillers...

*EDIT* Alright I just found out that Obedience is ladder-only. You can make Black on NL. But I still don't know about Treachery...it's a newly released runeword, but I think you can still make it on NL =/.

Scourge only requires 77 dex. Dex is the least of your worries.

NEW QUESTION: I play on NL. Now I'm not that rich yet, and I can't afford a hoz. In the guide, it says to get a spirit instead. I play NonLadder, so a Spirit costs MORE than a HoZ. What shield should I get then?? :-S
