yeah ive been stolen from....
once in v1.09 (d2 not expansion) (you HAVE to change yur password...EVERYDAY)

and it sucked so i didnt even care at all.. well.. got confused and was like.. why in the hell would someone steal from me since i only got stuff from charsi? (also note i JUST bought the game..)

and for diablo II - lord of destruction v1.11b patch..

and another side note, dont put every godly char in the same account. so if it possibly DOES get hacked.. you'll always have somthing left still to use. and do not tell people how many damn godly items you have too..
people will get your account.

I had an account where every char was over 85 and like 4 of them were over 90 all decked out and I didnt lose that account until I became a victim of easy map.

I've got my password stolen twice before. Damn i was so mad. The first time it happened i quit diablo for about 4-5 months. Then one day i was bored out of my skull and i said, I might re-install diablo and play it for a while. That was a month ago and im still playing. Either one way or another, i had to make a new account :S

yea i have 2 times. The first time was when i was a noob and i fell for that away message thingy. omg was i dumb. Then the second one was like in september.....i think. But some one who i thought was one of my friends, (we played together for like 2 months) made a "clan" so i joined it. Well we had to "log" onto a website to be in it. Well my dumbass put the same pw in my login pw for d2. Omg did i get screwed. That hurt really really bad. I lost all my valuable stuff. (of course) actually come to think about it. It happend right when 11a came out. Yea i was dumb. Now i have diff pw's for everything. And i dont join clans att all. I know most of the tricks, so i think im good now.

...if someone knows your email they can get your pass for d2?
the email that has pass recovery registered i mean, or did you give out pass to your email acc?

If you give out your email, they can change it to their own for password recovery if you don't reply to the letter saying the change was a mistake. At least I'm pretty sure how that's worked.

Luckily I've never had my password stolen, I don't tell anyone, not even people I know in real life; and I don't download anything unless mod(s) have approved of it already from this website.

1 time i ddint have virus protection and bam, got 250 in my comp and my acct stolen :O

2nd time, friend came into my game and i was xfering and he stole all my zon item on the ground

3rd time i d/led a bot and stole my pw but the acct was sh1tty neways

If your smart, it will never happen to you... don't open unknown programs and use strong passwords (could someone who knows you well guess your password)?

And oh yeah, don't share your accounts\passwords

hell no i've never been hacked.

1) cuz i'm not retarded enough to share or give my pass
2) i'm not that into D2 to DL programs from random people on bnet
3) it's like getting viruses on your PC...it only takes common sense

now if we're talking scams. i got curious one day, this guy had a dupe method (so he claims) so i logged on to a crap charcter... it was the fill up your entire bottom row inventory with tp scrolls, i don't remember the rest except he had me hold a spear with the inventory open (so i just held the spear). he pvp'd me and i popped.

took him over 30 minutes to convince me. (basicly he played nice, and tried to make good convo)... all he got was an isenhart breast plate from one of my real old lvl 70s.

he must've been pissed laugh:

no offense to anyone who got skeamed on here. i've never heard of anyone getting randomly hacked.. they've always done something stupid. but i'm sure there are brute forcers out there.
