I like how it says something about Feds not bothering people who do without a licence or something like that
One day drugs will be legal in this country, I have no problem with that, I think that as long as you can pay your taxes as 'indipendant' (sp) than you can do whatever you want without hurting, stealing, or taking away someones rights.

I think it should be just like every other perscription drug, you should be able to go to CVS with a perscription, and come back in an hour to pikc up your 2 week suply of weed.

can you say embezzlement?
Those nay-sayers have a good point with it leaving them open. And those states should have protection from the federal law. Like making an amendment on the law that says it's ok with the permit. I think they should have to get it at the police station and have to take it at home. Like the alcohol thing, they couldn't start the car with marijuana in their system. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing.

Good point, but why don't they steal the cigarrettes? they are legal. I know why, because marijuana isn't addictive, cigarrettes are. So, if it becomes legal than the people who smoke because it is the 'anarchy' thing to do will have to find something else.
Oh, and about the permits, I think prostatutes should be able to be prostatutes, but they need to pay taxes for everything they do, just like every other worker, same with drug dealers, you go to the police station to get a drug dealing or hooker licence, and then pay 20% or whatever a week to the local government.
Opinions?

You should never have to go to a local drug dealer to get medicinal pot, because giving the drug dealer money is just feeding the system. I'd rather pay a pharmacy than some bum off the side of the road that's supporting the pot farmers.

Opinions? well, a bunch of people do steal cigarettes. It's not like it's too hard to do. My friend got fired for it, and I bet at least 1 out of 10 people who I work with have stolen them at least once.
And with that plan on being able to do those things with a liscense, wouldn't that make our govt. both a pimp and a mobster?

Do you not require a license to sell alcohol?
By making it legal the govt would take all power from the increasingly violent Mexican drug cartels. It would also open up a whole new industry for the production of such a crop. Problem is, Washington is controlled by lobbyists and why would the tobacco companies want pot legal?
Why don't more Americans hold politicians responsible for the state of affairs in our country? Most people would say that just because crime is human nature. However; Our Govt creates a friendly environment for criminals to flourish. This is why the crime rate is so high. Did you know it was safer to live in pre-war Iraq than in the Grand Ole USA? Why is that? Bad policy my friend. Our drug policy doesn't work and, in its current state, will never work. It should be a Public health issue and not a criminal issue. Seriously! Why let a multi BILLION dollar industry be run by criminals? It just doesn't make sense. Its all about what good for certain businesses(Tobacco). This is what happens when you let your govt be run by industry. Democracy indeed.blank:

pot is addictive, the signs arent truely noticable though. one sign is irriatability(sp?) if a perosn is annoyed, angered or stressed, for seemeingly no reason, either a mental disorder, or an addiction. pot is a hard thing, because 1 there are so many false beliefs. marijuana has certin chemicals that are more dangerous than ciggarettes. just cigs have over 100 poisons where pot only has like 15. now the problem with legalizing it is people will go out high, get into accidents and other things, you cant trust people to be responsible, they should make weed bars/hotels, buy some weed some then make them sleep the night, also sell food blank:.

I say that they should make it legal because it is the same problem as drinking. They both impair your vision. Weed doesn't make you throw up all over and you feel fine the next day. I think it's better. I think Philadelphia should legalize it.

Pot might be addictive, but not physically, any everything is mentally addictive, everything from eating, to throwing up, to masturbating, to music. the rest of the stuff is all speculation. I found this greeat .gov website that had all myths and facts prooven wrong.
I don;t smoke anything, but I am pro marijuana, who am I, whoare you to stop someone else from doing what they want as long as it doesn't negatively affect anything else.

Big deal, anyone who wants drugs in America can get them,
my guess'd be at least one person on every street does [at least once a month] some form of illegal drug, or drug abuse [legal or illegal]

you also have to consider that the amount of money America spends to jail marijuana users is over $50 dollars. the legalize it would bring in so much income for the government in terms of taxes. however, it is very true that big tobacco could be behind the anti-pot campaign. it is a very big threat to them
