ya link, if you knew anything about scott, it's not to tell gays they have a problem. You are retarded.

spoon Wrote:but when they use offensive languages against homosexuals it's ok.

And when did glbt become an offensive term? To me it seems like more of a noun/adjective. It just describes someone using abbreviation. I didn't know it was offensive.

Being an independent, I take each subject and try to find which side is actually better. And I have to go with gay rights on this one.

btw fuggle, nice triple comment. Lucky for you automerge is back on. lol

I have a friend in my guild who is gay, and when he tells me to stop using "fag" or "gay", even in non-bashing ways, I listen to him because I respect him so much.

These people that call people a ****ing faggot after they've been asked nicely not to are the reason why "fag" and "gay" have been blown out of proportions as words in this country today. I used to think that it was okay to say "fag" and "gay" because homosexuals needed to get over it, but I've finally come around to thinking that it just isn't right. I wouldn't want to be discriminated against because of my religion (or lack thereof.)

Blizzard just doesn't seem to understand that homosexuals should have the same right of free assembly (or whatever you'd consider a guild) as people that like using the Hunter class, or are between 18 and 28 or whatever, and that needs to change. They're just spitting out excuses to be sexist, I think.

Pyro, He wasn't talking about glbt being offensive, he was talking about the people in the open channels who call people "Fag" Etc, and leave ti unpunished.

wouldent it be kinda of hard to recird every time fag or gay or homo was said in every server by every player? i just think it would or unless they write code for it ionno. but i know gay people and i don't really mind them unless they start comeing on to me or something, then i do sumthing about it but other than that what is blizzard afraid they are going to get sued because some idioit called some one else a fag online, that just ubsured!!!

thread finally works again.....i can see i havent missed all that much though...matha whatever(aka hey dumb newb) is spamming as usual; sarcasim made some valid points , although personally i never really thought "fag" was an ok word...i still use "gay" to describe things =/; sifting through all flea's gibberish, yes flea it would probably be very hard for them to record every time someone uses an offensive term; "gblt" is not an offensive term. as far as i know, the people that are gblt are the ones that coined it

i dont know why people freak out if a gay comes onto them.
what do you normally do if a girl you aren't attracted to comes onto you? take it as a complement and explain that you dont have the same feelings toward her

ok ill start using the spell check when i use IE if im gunna get yelled at this much. but really who cares it people say homo or fag?

Homosexuals do...you use it in a negative way so you're basically saying that being gay is a bad thing. Like when you say, "You fag!" You're basically creating the feeling that it's a bad thing.

well but a gay is going to be an poliet about it, they can say "hey man im gay and a don't like you talking like that around me", or they can be a total ass hole and say "HEY YOU RETATRD, Im A GAY so STFU b4 I REPORT ur Ass" ive had both responses, its common to hear someone say "OMFG FAG u TOK Teh 1377 b0ts" ive seen this personally said on a server so i know what is the response is gunna be... "OMG u Sad I CLd HAVE THem u HOMO" so i think its gunna be common to hear it, and it dosent bother most people as far as i can see.

Well, I have. Proves that there's people out there it offends. Just because I've never seen a lion doesn't mean that they don't exist.

Meh...don't really care. If Blizzard did nothing about harassment regarding sexual orientation in game then people would be up in arms. If Blizzard did 'something', which they did, people would be up in arms. Its loose loose no matter what they did. There is just no PC way to approach GLBT's anymore without insulting someone or some group and getting sued or lashed out at for it when your a large corporation, such as Blizzard.

My question is this though: How can one player be so sure the person on the other is the gender they say they are? Can one player look at another players regestration information, which I would imagine is connected to a credit card so its most likely not falsified, to "check" a persons gender or is it just a "ya gotta believe me" kinda thing?

LOL! I bet about half the people who say they are "gay", "homosexual" or w/e the **** they want to be called are not even the gender they say they are.
