Manus Magus Bot has a unidentified Backddor Trojan, I tried 5 different virus programs that all found it but they couldnt repair it, when I try to put it in containment, a meesage pops up and say it found another one of same type, so trojan copies itself when you block it, only way to get rid of it is to wipe computer and PARTITIONS, use a boot program on floppy disk to clear memory cause when I wiped my pc I found it loaded in my ram, its a tricky bastard. Dump your memory then reinstall windows. I dont know if it does anything do bios memory I know newer motherboards have huge memory in bios to flash it several times, trojan might copy itself into bios, I dont know I aint that good of a hacker. but i havent had my accounts stolen yet so maybe it doesnt. A keylogger for sure though.

Speaking for the downloads section, everything is scanned before being put up, there is over 3000 dl's of this version alone, and you the only one to complain. You got the virus from somewhere else.

Also its irresponsible to say that dl's here have virus's, rather contact me or one of the other staff if you THINK you had a problem with one of the downloads.

The first time I downloaded mm.bot from here it was version 544b2. When i started mm.bot544b2.exe Norton popped up and said a virus has been found and it was same file name as bot main executable. Norton said Unknown next to Trojan so I guess norton detected it was a trojan but didnt have a definition for it, so it couldnt do anything to repair it. When I tried to delete file, Norton popped up again and said it was found again but it was a different directory now, musta had a fail safe in case it tried to be deleted. I ended up wiping my hard drive to get rid of it, cause more than likely it was key-logger and i didnt want to lose any of my accounts, i have too much stuff to lose. I have 6 Accounts 4 of them are mule accounts. and other 2 are all high level characters. I couldnt lose any so I just wiped hard drive. Yesterday I just downloaded mm.bot544B6 from mm homepage and it was fine. no virus. I use it succesfully right now. I do eldritch and pindle and shenk runz with my cl sorc and my h-din. I left it running all day yesterday and when i came to check on it. I had 5 Nagels, a mara, 2 chance guards, a hoz, a highlords, and a andys visage, only high rune thru whole night was a ist, other included a Lo i guess thats higher than ist but not that popular and a couple ums and a lem. Bot works great for getting crap loads of gold I noticed stash and inventory was both full of gold. I gambled it all away on nilathak and got one good ammy. +3 to combat skill (pally) , +8 to dex and 43% better chance of getting magic items. Even if the bot never found sick godly items, its just good for the gold.

Well i am not saying you did'nt have trojan... just don't think it orginated from mm.Bot download from here.... Norton is not perfect you know.

After I downloaded mmbot544B2 from here awhile back. I unzipped files setup config files and ran the main executable for running the bot it wouldnt start and norton popped up and said the file that I clicked was the trojan. I know norton isnt perfect, but why would norton sucking have anything to do with it saying that mmbot544B2.exe is a trojan. Norton got a grudge with mmbot or something. so it lies. ROFL...laugh:

Autoit when packed says that you have a virus. Straight from the FAQ

Q: OMG i scanned your BOT.exe and it detected a virus ?!!
A1: First download the bot from only a well know WebSite, where you
are sure much other people downloaded it before, also check forums.
A2: The MD5 checksum is a code that allow to check if a file is really
the file and not a modified one. Checksums are on the original mm.BOT
website at Http://perso.wanadoo.fr/manus-magnus
A3: It's LOGICAL to have "virus" alert or suspicious code detected
because the AUTOITV3 allowing advanced system functions like change
a process priority or download files from the internet, as a proof you can
- Download and install AutoitV3 (http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3)
- Make new script file (.au3 file) and write this:
ProcessSetPriority (@ScriptName, 4)

=> Compile it into an .exe and you will make the scanner crying too...
=> Last advice; know scanners are not way to be sure about a file !

I have personally went over each line of code and there is nothing to worry about.
