lol i started this post like a week and half ago when i was just bored, now its up to 7 pages =p, and yeah i honestly do believe that life exists somehwere, i mean, just look at the stars at night or smoething, just look thruough all that black space, scienctists say that theyve mapped out the universe past 25 billion years ago with certain radiation instruments, if its that long and big, (25 billion years) i cant rule out the fact that wre the only life force out here, its impossible, and heres a link i was readin on about the supernatural, if u guys know who Alister Crowley is (satanist that ***d with demonic spirits and brought them to this world) theres an interesting article that says something about him opening a portal in which an alien by the name of Lam, came thru his portal, that he drew a picture of ( its on there it looks like a grey, the weird thing too.....it wasw in 1917) juts read the article guys, itll take 6 minutes most, its very intersting....

Took me longer than 6 minutes, but whatever:p It is indeed an interesting article. But, what about black holes? We can't survive in them, and supposedly they take you to a different part of the universe.

i believe your thinkin about "wormholes", wormholes supposedly take matter and objects at speeds faster than light , making them able to travel thruough thousands and millions of light years fast, making it seconds to get to anotehr galaxy or star,

i think life without air is possible
just think about how some bacteria here live without oxygen and use sulfur instead
perhaps other forms of life have such distinctions

however, water is essential in the creation of life. think about how water's hydrogen bonds make it expand when frozen unlike other liquids that get denser. when ice in water melts, the melted ice will go down to the bottom of the ocean as water. there, it will turn back into ice and float back up where it will melt again. this circulation of water is what helped create life.
without the properties of water, any other liquid would just freeze and stay at the bottom and never circulate
this is why scientists look for ice or water when they are searching for life

Wormholes are complicated. Scientists have found that incredibly massive objects (like a black hole) bend space-time. I can explain this through the old-rubber sheet and ball representation. Take a square rubber sheet and put a bowling ball in the middle of it. The rubber sheet is space-time and the ball, of course, is the massive object.

If something is large enough, it can stretch the rubber far down and create an unoccupied space between parts of the rubber sheet. Scientists believe that wormholes can link these two points on the sheet together, thus bypassing a huge amount of space-time.

Since you guys are already in this train of thought with the rubber sheet and ball, I'll go ahead and try to explain what black holes are. As you guys have probably figured out, black holes are incredibly massive objects with intense gravitational pull. Because of it's mass, it bends space-time immensely, so much so that space bends in on itself (like a bottleneck), which explains why photons (particles of light) cannot escape. You don't go to another dimension when you enter a black hole, you just basically enter a trap in which you can never escape. Of course, it doesn't matter anyway because you're long dead.

yea but there's a looooooong ass distance between each star

not without air. without some of the gases tat make up air maybe. my science teacher said carbon is an element esscential to life. it bonds matter together or something i forget. but you definantly need certain types of elements to create life. and yes water is another one you need i think.
As long as darkness flows through my veins, I will never cease, As long as my dreams still haunt me, I will never show mercy, and as long as evil lives I will never die.....

this is space btw our knowledge of it is that of a ****ing unborn child so what we think can sustain life or what olny can is idiotic at the least

Of course there is life in outer space. They found frozen, dead (ok fine it's not technically "life") bacteria in the frozen rivers on Mars. Aliens are no longer a question of whether they exist. It's how intelligent they are.

life can be possible without air, more specifically, oxygen. think about the bacteria that live in the sulfur lakes at yellowstone park. they use chemical energy instead of photosynthesis to create ATP.
take a look at the periodic table. the element of sulfur is right below oxygen, meaning they are elementally similar and can bond in the same way.
carbon is an important element because it has 4 electrons. it is the lightest yet most versatile element there is. think about a k'nex set. what is more useful? the crappy little pieces with only a few connections? or the big circular piece that can connect all around?
of course, it is the big piece. that's carbon. it's ability to make up to four bonds helps it create such molecules that were essential to early life such as co2 and ch4. it also creates the the bases of dna and carbohydrates such as sugar and starch

Yeah, most things are destroyed by oxygen, which is actually corosive to most other elements.

No, it's not. Hydrogen is the lightest.

I agree with you for the most part, but I just had to point that out =)

well thats great to hear i bet if we found a alien species that is affected by oxygen theyd be ***ed lol
phear the awsome power of the oxygun Tongue

hydrogen isnt versatile though. you misunderstood me. i pointed out carbon because it has the most of both characteristics combined. it's light and versatile
