I have to say wind druid. With 7k nado on mine, he owns everything except physical immunes, but 3k hurricane takes care of that nicely. With a doom merc, my hurricane deals a lot more dmg too, thnx to the -cold res (40-60%) on doom. That helps so much it's unbelievable. I love my wind druid cuz he can easily do norm/nm rushes for my friends, and can assist in hell nicely for fast rushes. Not only that, but wind druids are quite possibly the best all-around duelers out there. They are decent against all char classes, and deal good dmg.

hello you guys are forgetting one awsome char that can solo hell and easy i think someone mensioned it but im not sure its.... * moment of truth* duh any char lol just stak hoj dragon dreams on a merc and if ur a pal use conviction or just use a infinity 2 handed dmg and just run around and have merc pwn everything one hit solo EZ

A bone necro taking it slow can do it, but without enigma you got to cast a lot of wall/prison and wait the 30 or so seconds for them to destruct.

The only problem I have is VS. the Mummies doing Baal. Cast some dim vision to keep them from all attacking your merc at once and let him finish them off.
Its hard to park them becuase they usually just stay stationary.

yah well a barb isnt that fun cuz it would take like 3 hits on each monster and its same attack over and over i like having different attack for fun

I've tried a bunch of curse Necros out, and they ain't too great. One was actually a Blood Golem/IM necro. The blood golem DID steal life off of the IM (Check Arreat Summit, it says it there). I had IM and Bramble for thorns, was lots of damage returned; still didn't do enough damage returned to make a dent in their health. And elemental monsters raped me.

What I've always wanted to make is some Paladin build, but instead of using the aura they normally use, max Thorns instead. At level 20 it's 1010% returned, level 30 it's 1410% returned. That would be actually pretty sweet on a PvP zealer, vs other Melee :P. Even with the damage returned reduced to 1/10th of regular in PvP.

I REALLY enjoy Necros for soloing hell. I've never really solo'd online before, but in SP, the Necro is a fun cheap build that, if played well, you can sit and watch the battles instead of overseeing every little detail like you have to with most builds.

I really REALLY don't like Hammerdins. They're boring, the hammers are annoying to manage, and they feel so inferior to the awesome that a shock sorceress has when she's shooting floods of lightning at people. That's far more fun than a bunch of hammers circling a guy.

Lighten up, and realize that you're not going to like everything you're going to read on the internet. Just stick to being helpful, and please try to let ONE thread go by in this forum without picking on someone who slightly annoyed you. The same things annoy me, but it's a matter of skimming over their posts. This isn't intended to be a personal insult at all, it's just that I've consistantly noticed you lashing out at people who really didn't do anything other than have fun while posting.]

Nothing can really solo hell. there's always monsters with immunes. the best ones i find are hammerdin (yes hammerdins!). there's also wind druids but there are some physical immunes. i still voted pally though.

Soloing hell dose not necessarily mean that you kill every single monster. It just means that you can get through hell doing every quest.

EDIT: I still dont know why no one like barbs... I think their incredibly fun. Yea sure their are some monsters that you need too kill that have phy immune. But most of the time a good barb build will have some other type of damage being done, like fire or magic. I've soloed hell 100 times with my old barb, so no one start with the "BARBS CAN'T SOLO HELL!" That i hear all to commonly.
