but i have one thing to say about that the deaths from the bombing were like 10x(or less) that of the deaths of pearl harbor

I'm not a history major but I did do a paper on the surrender of Japan for a history class, and if I remember correctly we gave Japan an chance to surrender as we informed them we had a weapon capable of massive amounts of destruction. Heroshima and Nagasaki (a port city I believe) were picked as economoical targets (we had obliterated most their navy by this point). We dropped the first bomb, and when Japan still didn't surrender we dropped a second which finally drove the point home and forced the emporer to surrender.

And yes, lots of civilians died which is a sore spot, but many more lives were saved considering we didn't have to invade the mainland of Japan. Truman had a difficult decision and he made the right choice in my opinion.

#1 reason people hate america is because they are singled minded and look at one aspect of america. We try to do the right thing but are to polically correct so we do the next best thing, and it doesn't work, so people end up hating us for stupid stuff.

i believe the atom bomb was right too. back in WWII the japs were allys with the nazis. they wanted to conquer all asia and without us they probably would have. anyways, they also didn't like us because of our "threat" to their conquest of asia and because they thought we were keeping them as second class powers.

i have to admit, america does have a long list of racism though. americas slavery was one of the harshest ever(ussually when slave had kid, the kid was free but in us the kid was a new slave) and we kept slavery way after britian did.

also during WWII we locked up all alien and non japanese people in america. we basicly made japanese concentration camps(except we didn't kill them) and made them live in desert barracks and have little food. I can see why some people hate us because americans can sometimes seem conceited.

I personally dont really like the USA for a few reasons.

1) the excess fat people... i think its like 80% of the population is over weight or something... thats not cool. that means only 1 in 5 is just within the weight range or is skinny

2) WHAT THE F*** is the point of having 2600 nukes or w/e. the USA will be the end of the world unless we are careful. say if someone accidently tested a nuke or some $h!t the USA would lauch about 100 nukes at the country killing not only them but other people.

3) all your politicians suck. all politicians do but yours more so in general.

4) The USA's interference with other countrys and religions... if they want to kill each other i say give them more ammodevilish: , that solves 2 problems at once blank: .
