Hmm, what ways have you people "been" scammed or see someone else get scammed.
I saw someone get scammed with the trade hack, They inserted the real item, the other person inserted the copy of the item.. they pressed ok and the person got the real item and the other person was left with nothing laugh:
. . . at ease, i puff trees till i look chinese
. . . and immigration says can we see
. . . your green card, please.....?

I've never been scammed, but i've seen many ways people try to do it, theres the dnd scam where they ask if you want to see your ''rank'' type /dnd password/account.
Or the famous autoit scam, they ask you to download something off a site, like a undetectible maphack or so they say, when you run it an autoit drops all your stuff then leaves.

i been scammed a few times. one time i was trading my ds enigma for a ds coh and the guy showed coh and then i showed enigma then he exited trade screen and said "hey can you add something small like a lem" and i said w/e and then he came back and put a regular dusk shroud in and i put my enigma in and i accepted with out looking at what he put up :-(. Second time i got scammed it was for a "free enigma for clan members" thing and the guy did a trust thing and in act 1 camp put me on one side of wall then himself on the other and then he dropped all his gear then picked it back up then he said ok your turn then we switched sides and i was outside of town and then he was now inside. His merc was left outside of town right next to me and when i dropped my gear he hostiled me and his merc killed me. :-|

ok well i've been playing diablo for a while so i've fell for a few but i was a noob(we all start as noobs so don't bash them lol) so i didn't lose much.
i fell for the full inv scam where they kill you twice and all your stuff falls(corpse poppings). i lost ok/noob summon necro gear(why even bother scamming for that lol)
i fell for an autoit but once i relized what it did i it dropped my occy then my shako and i have an extension outlet thing for all my computer plugs and i tapped that off really quick.
and i fell for the teletown hack and lost a mal rune.
so nothing too too much major lost and i learned from my mistake. but really only people that fall for scams are noobs and why bother scamming someone if their a noob because ofcourse they have crappy gear unless they ebay/have friends.
also i only trans with really really trusted online friends or i just trans in a wp with okish friend. i trans a lot with real life friends so its not a big deal.

When I was a young Diablo II noob, I downloaded a program from my friend, and when I ran it I said in game that I was a ****ing idiot, and then I dropped everything I had equipped and in inventory and disconnected from BattleNet (he was with me in a private game).
Sad thing is I actually trusted the guy

I lost a Chains of Honor from the switching scam. Lost about 20 HR's to poofing, an soj because my friend hit the trade button when he was playing on accident and the guy accepted. Then i lost an enigma to a friend i'd known for about 3 years when i loaned him it.
Only one scam, others just bad luck.

Btw
I once tried to trade my enigma for 8 ists or so. And this guy came in and said "I give you 5 ist vex mal" and I said ok. Then, I got this crappy 11 def quilted armor in my inventory and I said that he should move the runes around so I see it's no dupe...and I moved my enigma around and switched it with the quilted armor and he accepted omfg Oo
But I gave him back the runes...so...

my cousin got scammed of his enigma, and an ist from the invisible wirt leg thing.the scammer imbued the wirts, and turned invisible by equiping it. but this only worked in act 1 or 2, next to the warriv. the scammer then ran, clicked on warriv, but still ran on. and traveled east, then traveled back to show that they "unequipped". im going to confess and say that i used this to get a few low runes like sol.

naw, hes my best friend, since like, 1999. I didnt reallly care, we had stayed up for 2 straight days and had eaten about 40 twinkies at the time. We were 'high' for younger kids. I never really cared about these types of things. After i had my enigma scammed, i said 'whoa, dude, you really got me... ass...' then i left before he did. Later that month, all of my stuff expired after i went on vacation. I signed on, saw it, and escaped out of it and didnt say a word or take any of my anger out. I think i take 'it's just a game' too seriously.
