Whats is the Best OS?

I want a new operatingsystem, what would you guys prefer?

Well at first I was skeptical of Windows XP. I always preferred Windows 2000 Pro or Windows ME, but now you couldn’t pay me to use less than XP.

Pro’s:
Excellent Stability/Reliability.
General Speed is much quicker
Can leave it on for weeks on end without it degrading (slowing down etc)
Never have I got a Blue Screen of Death or any error with XP. (friends have had errors before though)
Networks well with other comps. (Have 95, 98 and XP Home as well as my XP Pro computer)
Can Tweak a lot of options.
More I cant think of right now…

Con’s:
Older dos programs/games don’t work 100%. (Get over that quick though)
Messenger is a pain in the ass and pop’s up all the time. (can disable it with Xp-AntiSpy)

Overall, all friends and I use Windows XP, except for one person that uses 98 due to a rather poor PC. Don’t listen to the people that say Stick with 98/ME/2k. Why do you think they make new OS’s?. Those ppl are stuck in the past and will eventually be left behind… Ever tried to use new programs on Windows 95? Good luck to you!

i prefer windows ME after some personal alterations to the scripting and dos parts heh all in all it kicks ass after the changes. the OS became smaller and i have more performance than the xp comp in the livingroom. though i still would rather mess with the alienware i got too. 2.5ghzvidcard 3.0ghztvcard 7.2ghzproP4 102mm duel cooling fan toomany gigs to use...118 lol
plenty of room for ppl who love porn..:eek: thats 3/4 my family
