every now and then i get an error usually saying that eplore or sometimes some other program has caused an error and then my internet disconnects, usually this happens when i start to type, what could be causing this to happen

It could be any number of things, what version of windows are you using? Windows 9x/ME are notorious for thier bugs. If you're using it, consider and upgrade to XP, it IS free ya know Wink

i have me and xp, i started with me but then my com crashed and i had to use some files from xp because i dont have the disc for me

That could be your problem, file incompatibility. Try upgrading the whole thing to XP.
