Is there anyway to check your cdkey in your d2 files that are saved in your d2 directory? My friend needs me to get on his computer and get his cdkey because he doesn't have it over at his house and he needs it emailed to him. I was wondering if there is any way to get it out of the computer files.
I have a Showcdkey program that works with the latest version of D2 (v1.11b) and below, PM me and I will send you a the link.
I used this to get a very old (3+ years) CD-key from one of my old D2 installs, without this program, I would have prolly lost those keys for good.

Onlyer's and Serby's are programs that are used to show cd-keys and create cd-key .mpq's. To utilize these programs first download them and extract them to your Diablo II folder. Then you can view and create them using the appropiate options on the programs, also Serby's cd key viewer tends to be easier to use. Look for serby's cd-key viewer. Should say D2skey. Download it and extract to your Diablo II folder and start it up. Or I just attached serby's to this post just take iot off her and extract to you D2 folder. Ohh and also cd-keys are stored as .mpq's in the D2 folder so as long as you have a cd-key viewer and access to a complete d2 folder, you can view the cd-key from anywhere on a network. Me and a freind at school put D2 on the common drive at school so we coyuld p0lay anywhere, but some people played it too much and got it deleted, but me and my friend just copied top our personal drives checked it as hidden. The point is that anybody during that time it was on the common drive, could hjave seen the cd-keys we used.
and, if you must know which file the keys are located in the classic cd key is located in the file d2sfx.mpq and your lod key is located in the file d2char.mpq
