Idea for crushing blow

You know how on pallys, the idea seems to be to get crushing blow for ubers? Well, what if you got a 4os phase blade or something like that and placed bers in it? Would that work or am I retarded and missing something? I mean, you could get well over 100% crushing blow on strike if you have 4 bers, guillames, and gores.

that would work for crushing blow but the weapons smiter use give ias too, if it was crushingblow//ias it would be pretty good, best smiter weapons would be griefz->Lastwishz->Ebotdz

Well, I'm asking because I already did it and it seems to not work. Of course, then again, I'm using it against hell bosses like Meph, Diablo, Izzy. I hurt them fairly well, but having 115% crushing blow I was thinking 10-15 hits would do them in easily with zeal. Did I overlook something or will this only affect ubers and not demon bosses?

it wont work as well with zeal cause your ar would be shit, and none of the hits would land, it would only work well for smite, the reason greif pwns for zeal is the ignore defence mod

hey bro. cb has diminishing returns... so u need something to back that up as well.. it seems to be a nice idea. but u get a TON of other greta mods as well with a simple runword. so like if u can afford 4 bers trade them all off for rather expesively lol and get the 6 runes u need for last wish .. which is probably something ur looking for..

ud get a lil bit less cb but cb is maxed at 95% u can have it stacked yes but its blocked mast getting higher than 95 i forgot where i read this but i know its true

Well, I downloaded the uber mod for single player and tested it, I got uber baal down to 25% ish health quick, but then the degrade was slow. Should I try it with smite instead for the better AR? (I did notice the AR is quite crappy)

yeah try with smite, and dustiod i heard that the damage grief adds is infact included in smite AFTER all the other stuff, so if ur grief is lets say 375 added damage and ur max smite its 3.4k 3400-375=3025 smite damage had u not had grief?

and if it is like that 350-400 damage really isnt that much so grief isnt as godly as people say it is for smiters.

The idea about getting 100% CB is not bad but your idea about PB 4x Ber'd 2x Shael'd is retarted. Just get gulliames, goblin toe and black runeword, then you'll have 100% CB

1) Grief adds 340-400 damage
2) Yes, it is added.

Now for the PB with BERs idea. It's retarded. CB is capped at 95%, so there is no point in stacking it. Go for LW + Guillaume's, you'll have more than you'll ever need.

Crushing Blow deducts health from the current monster (or player) HP, not from total HP. So, let's say, if a regular monster had 1000 hp, then you would remove 1/4 (250) with the first hit, then the next hit would remove 1/4 of 750, not of 1000. That's why you need actual damage to finish the monser off. Crushing Blow is also 1/8 for Bosses. It's effective at first, but later you will be needing actual damage to finish the guy off, so the Berd/Shaeled PB idea is a waste of runes. Congratulations.

Also, someone mentioned Ignore Target's Defence before, but that does not work on Bosses either (nor in PvP).

prevent monster heal works good against lilith, i'm not sure if the other ubers are immune to PMH but it seems to work great for my smiter.

my friend uses a 4ber 2sheal pb and kills uber easy. It's non-ladder so thats the cheapest working solution really. his other gear was gg though. but yeah that was actually my idea when I was gonna make a smiter. I works well too. If i remember, he only had 80cb from his weap and thats it.

I would say that BA is better than PB. Sure PB is a lot faster, but it has crappy range, and range is really important in Trist. If I were you, I'd sacrifice some equipment for IAS stuff and go for Grief BA.

BA will break very quickly whereas PB is indestructible. IMO IAS is far more important than range in uber trist...i've never had a problem gettin close enough to them
