where is the best place to mf??

i have like a 300-500 mf (depending on what i use) and i was wondering where the best place to mf is and what the best armor to mf is. i got a lvl 83 sorc that could use some new mf armor.

Well first off, try getting your hands on tals armor, belt, and ammy...that adds a good bit of MF...if not, then try getting an eth skullders..if not eth just get non-eth...as for mfing, i'd say do the obvious, meph, as well as pindle, and then if you want, toss in to your routine pit runs, the mausoleum, and ancient tunnels....i've found 3 IK armors doing pit runs..just make sure you killl everythingggggg...

yeah meph's good....but the problem i find with him, is that i go on these streaks of finding nothing but crap...but when i do pit runs..i always find an elite item.

Where exactly is "the pit"? I've tryed the Pit in Tamoe Highland in Act1 several times and found nothing. Is there a different pit?

the pit is in act 1 in the tamoe highlands...take the outer cloister wp..then exit the monastery gate and just keep following the path until you reach The Pit..and kevorski...i'm not sure why its sucks for you..i've found lots of godlies down there...try adding some more mf..make sure you kill every monster there.

Pindle is ok too I guess.

the best place to mf is good ol' PINDLESKIN ofcourse . with a good mf sorc , pickit, d2loader / hackit and pindlebot u can all the items u could ever need in a week. another week and you double the value of ur accounts

pindle sucks...but for some reason when you have apindle bot, it seems that he just drops crazy a$$ shlt lol...but baal is great for mfing, assuming that your char can withstand his minions solo...and kevorski, you can find good items in nm, but to a point. like you're not going to find ik armor per say doin nm meph...but you'll get the occasional shaftstop along with some other decent uniques and set items.

my friend lockshock*(user) gives me his extras if i give him some stuff i get frm norm baal. so far i got vipermagi, some sheild like a facet, facet lvl29venom when lvl , griz helm, and other thihngs

I preferably like mfing meph. I dont get good things all the time, but with time you can find semi-decent to kick a** things. I found a 140 def shako (near perfect i believe) the other day. Finding griswolds heart is a daily thing for me, damn things.

pindle owns at mf, as evrythin can drop and hes real easy to get to (wat more can u ask) and the reason why u get lots of the bot is coz it does over 300 runs DUH , but baal is good just annoying. found 2 arky's , GF and arach from baal in the no botting old days.

ok here is the best MF:

(this is on hell difficulty, diablo 2 expansion v 1.10)

1. andariel, catacombs level 4 act 1 (not that good drops, but i found some good things off her, like tal amu and perfect gheeds) this one is really easy! PS. dont forget to scan the area around andariel (even behind the wall under her) because a lot of monsters die wehn u kill andy and this might drop good things! (for example runes)

2. high council, travincal act 3 (can make good drops, very good ones, and there are a lot of enemies to drop from) this place can be hard, have good resistances and make sure to kill the healers (sexton) first!


3. mephisto, durance of hate level 3 (this was the best run before, now the durance is jsut abnormally large and he doesnt drop that good, but i found a couple of shakos and stuff from him so it's worth it) remember to check att the stashes in durance lvl 3 after killing meph, and then kill all the council members if you can, i found GF from one of them if i remember correctly.


4. diablo, chaos sanctuary act 4 (a long way and a lot of monsters to kill to get to diablo. he's drop is often good and there are a lot of special monsters on the way so it's worth it if you have a hammerdin or something) after killing diablo, you should tleport around to the 3 seals again and check, because just like on andy, monsters can drop things if you didnt kill them before diablo)


5. baal, worldstone keep level 3 act 5 (hard to tele, lots of minions to kill, but minions give XP so it's kinda worth it) baal CAN drop the best items in the game, after DC Clone.



extra runs:

****ess, tower cellar level 5 act 1 (countess drops runes, runes have GREAT valuer on battlenet because people wants to make runewords, or just use runes as they are. you are lucky if you find a mal, ist, um rune or something like that. countess and her minions are always cold immune, so dont bother with this run if youre cold sorc.


Pit Run, pit level 1 & 2 act 1 (the pits have a lot of unique monsters in it, and the pits have a high dungeon level, so most good things can drop here, i havent found anything good, but its worth it!)


Cow Run, the secret cow level act 1 (cows are worthless in 1.10, its a fact, but you can still find good socketing items here, and they, my friend, are worth a whole lot. i found ethreal 6-socket berserker axe wich is for BOTD runeword, and that is worth A LOT.)



red portals in act 5 (these are located in the frigid highlands i think, and they are called somehting like abbadon and stuff. i tried MFing here for a week or so after my friend gave me the hint, and i found 3 shako, 2 tal armor, and a lot fo other good things, dunno if it was just luck but it kicked ***. by the way, there is always a special chest in the end of the runs, i got a godly rare amulet and godly double leech gloves from that stash)

dont forget to have some friends with you when u MF, you get MORE (notice more, not better) drop when you are more people and you can help each other survive/do many runs at the same time
