how to use torrent
#1
I just tried downloading a diablo II lord of destruction torrent, and it loaded succesfully. But now i have the files and don't know how to use it. Do i need a special program in order to use it?
#2
Give us more information..

What files do you have..
Where did you get the torrent..
. . . at ease, i puff trees till i look chinese
. . . and immigration says can we see
. . . your green card, please.....?
#3
Um. Did you just download the file through your browser or do you actually have a Torrent client? Otherwise it seems you just don't know how to virtually load a CD image.
#4
If you dont have a torrent client, i suggest Bittorrent. Otherthan that, as Tool said before, "You just dont know how to virtually load a CD image."
#5
Download bitcomet
go on google or torrentz.com
search for something(we will use 'photoshop' as an example)
when you see the correct photoshop you want click it, and click 'download tis torrent' if using torrentz.com then first clikc any of the web sites on the page

do not save to disk, select 'open this file with' and browse for bitcomet.exe. once that is done it will prompt you for a download directory. chose where you want your files to go, THEN check mark the files you want(uncheck unnecessary ones)

final step:be patient! Most files will vary. I have gotten albums in 2 minutes, and albums in 3 days. It all depends on how many seeders(people sharing 100% of the file) there are.
#6
A lot of torrent sites banned BitComet because it sends false tracker information.
#7
what od you mean? I still can get from sites fine...are you talkbing about...trackers banned it?
#8
So then in your opinions, whats better, Bittorrent or BitComet?
#9
it isnt that it was banned, it was just labled as a seeding trojan cause it sends extra info with each upload.

if your going to download a game such as diablo 2 and use torrents, get utorrent and alcohol120%.
#10
wouldnt daemon tools work too? and is bitcomet better then azureus? cause i use azureus
#11
I prefer bitcomet, I don't care if it sends extra info. the only difference that I know with azurez is that is sometimes won't work because of very long file names
like thsi one "Modest Mouse - This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About - 14 - Talking Shit About a Pretty Sunset"
#12
Modest Mouse sucks, Briscoe.

I would say uTorrent is the best. But if I wasn't using uTorrent I would be using BitComet.
#13
geez no 1 ever hear of bitlord?
so far i like bit lord since it has its own torrent search engine build in Big Grin and is aquite reliable
#14
thye are all the same pretty much, just a different graphic layout...I like comet because ti is easy to show other people how to use torrent, and it doesn't suck too much ram from me, advice to anyone new, get the first one on the list or the one with the prettiest name, theya re all the same.
