The best way is kinda the same as trayne said. Go to your Control Panel, then to Add/Remove Programs. Find nero and click on remove. It should uninstall it.

click start all programs find the nero folder. there should be an uninstall there. the newer sharewares load 2 uninstall points and the obviously listed one sometimes doesnt work.

If you ever need to remove Nero in the future, it just so happens that Ahead has a Nero product removal tool (go figure). Here's the link to the program:
http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/Clean_Tools.html

Choose the appropriate 'clean tool' and follow the instruction the the following page. I usually use the 'General Clean Tool' it can remove completely everything Nero from your system.

Eventhough your friend already got rid of it, I would run this to completely clean out everything just to make sure, no offence to your friend, I personally like to make sure things get done thorughly.

I'd +rep you if I still could Mod... always solid advice.

Yeah use the removal tools next time. Your "friend" probably just deleted the folder and maybe start menu, leaving a shit load of registry files and possible windows folder DLLs and crap you don't need.

As long as the uninstall doesn't totally crash when it sees a half-done uninstall, you can use it now to clean up what you missed.
