Poem: My Name Is Unimportant

I was framed,
it was not my fault,
it was not I who did this deed.
You took me in,
and you threw me out,
for the good of a useless need.

You had a crown,
I had a star,
it was how we planned to live.
You wanted more,
you'd gone to far,
and I was the sacrifice you were willing give.

Now I'm hated,
fire burns my skin,
but it was not my fault.
You're still loved,
you caused no sin,
you're the one who threw me out.

My name is unimportant
my soul bares a single wound,
for if I were to live again,
my time would be too soon.

My name is unimportant,
just think of me as a whim.
A whim to remind you to tell the truth,
do not turn out like him.

I'm now gone,
I've gone to Hell,
and now you can live in peace.
Up on your throne,
where I once fell,
You realize your deed.

You call to me,
and I turn back,
but do not answer you.
You threw me out,
I can't forgive that,
I'm no longer an angel, too.

For I am the fire,
that burns in every ones hearth,
that keeps everyone warm.
But you are distant,
above the Earth,
while I call it my home.

My name is unimportant,
as is the reason I must be,
be gone from the land I once loved,
from the land that needed me.

My name is unimportant,
just think of me as a friend.
