what do you think about loving someone that has the same last name as you?

this question just poped into my head when i was learning about FDR marrying some with the same last name as him and i just want to know whats your opinion on it.

As long as you can't trace far back being related, i guess its okies. Be ready for those ignorant ****'s who ask why your dating your sister. And no name changes, so yes GO FOR IT. At my highschool there were alot of people with the last name PATEL and they all dated eachother, it was like a sick and twisted reality show about incest and DISGUSTING. at least in college theres less people sharing last names LOL

and funny story, one person thought i was dating my sister where i go to school. i was with my girlfriend at her tennis practice(school team~don't ask)and someone came up to her mom(was there because about to be over) and was like "does your son play tennis too" and pointed to me. was pretty funny.

it seems conspiracy, but somehow i think they were all related, at the student/teacher confrences one set of parents showed up for all 300 students, they must breed like rabbits, and imagine how empty your wallet would be at christmas time, unless you just picked names out of a hat and bought that person a gift.

there are millions of people with the last name smith and anderson
are they related? god knows some might be and some might not
if u dont think ur directly related, i guess its fine (maybe if ur great great great great great grand father is the only thing between u, its not that bad is it?)

in most places its legal to marry after 4th cousins but it varies. i think its 4th cousins here though.

You can't call people ignorant for asking if they are dating their sister if both their last names are say... something obscure like Johntowlerson (Just made that one up). Btw Patel is a common name, I remember there being like 20 patels when I was in High School and only 2 of them were related to each other. Besides most people don't approve of Multiracial dating, so each group usually sticks together.

Disturbing story~ One of my high school english teachers married her 2nd cousin and had two kids. One is slightly retarded and the other is a dit deformed. I was speechless when I found out. Some kid brought it up in class and she ran out of the room crying.
