I would like to know what kind of motherboard i have is there a program that can do this?

In other words, the brand and model number are usually on the board itself, in fairly big font. If you don't want to open your case, use CPU-Z, which you can download here: CPU-Z

I recommend CPU-Z (Use google). But, I belive you can see what hardware is in your computer by right clicking on "My Computer" > Manage > Device Manager.

Using Asus Tk900 I don't know about the ones on my other computer or laptops though.

dxdiag.exe will tell you what its main brand is but it wont tell you what its exact brand is. youd be better off opening it up and looking rather than wasting disc space on more programs that will be like a 1 time use anyways. youd also be able to see what space you have for future upgrades (memory sticks, agp/pci/pci-x parts, etc). its brand is usually on a chip and it will have a serial, you can google the serial to find the motherboard type....may i ask what is this inquiry about? is it for upgrade ideas or just curiousity.

CPU-Z = 1MB + one driver. It can even install and run without the driver (I have a copy on my USB key) and is still 90% effective... my personal choice for quick mainboard and memory checking. |
