('Ungiven' is me, its my account name teehee)
I have an idea for a necromancer, but i need your opinions and help to make it work.
Ill start with the skills.
20 Skeles.
20 Skele mastery.
20 Iron Golem.
20 Golem mastery.
1 Life Tap.
1 Decrep.
1 Summon Resist.
Rest Revive.
Items...
Weapon: Last Wish (on Switch Cta/Spirit)
Armor: Archon Enigma
Shield: Homo (Um'd)
Boots: Marrow
Belt: Arach
Gloves: Trangs
Helm: Shako (Um'd)
Rings: 2xSoj
Ammy: Mara.
Now, this build you basically rely on Tank Uber Skeles to kill everything. Having Last Wish, Iron Golem and your Merc to beast them up.rolleyes:
The Iron Golem, should be made out of the runeword Beast. Giving Skeles the Fanaticism aura AND Thorn aura.
Your merc should have the following gear.
Weapon: Eth Cv Pride.
Armor: Eth Archon Fort.
Helm: Guillaume's Face (Cham'd)
And there you have it! My necro build. Whacha Think?!
:o
Think it can rush? Key run? Duel? Uber Trist?
Gemme Input!!
Thanks.

Oh well, its a risk, but hey! Lifes a risk right? Haha.
Seriously.
Its rare that it will die if your not acting like an idiot, and careful.
With max golem mastry and life tap, it wont die often.
rolleyes:
Secondly, I didnt ask for your opinion on what happends when the golem dies, i asked do you think it will play well. In rushing? Key runs? Duels? Uber Trist?
Its an expencive build. But I like expencive.

Stacked aura summoner = old idea and not very useful.

I'm not a fan of Iron Golem at all, Clay golems are much more useful and summoners as it is can breeze through hell if properly equipped (meaning you have a beast zerker axe instead).
And as frater said, the summoner is more of a fun build for PvM but it really cant do anything quickly to justify using it instead of, say, a Hdin or a MF sorc.

How is it not useful?
You have mega damage/tank skeles, gaining life, owning everything.
I really dont see a downfall to the build.

How can you say their more useful? Wow they slow people down.
And Iron Golem made from beast has the aura from beast, PLUS thorns, is a tank. I think your just stating that becasue you dislike Iron Golems with out even trying them, or giving them a chance.

Life tap helps when you are just starting out, generally I place one point in every curse (even the dim/confuse/attr tree). Life tap helps when a summoner is trying to solo duriel for the first time.
Decrep+Clay golem+cold attack/mage is the holy trio of slowing bosses, you can get a frame by frame animation which keeps your skeles safe (becuase the clay golem is usually targeted, and is easy to reacst if killed), and makes bosses easy.

I'm not saying it won't work, I think it'd do well in hell, but it's not the greatest.

The damage isn't quite as mega as you think. Once in a while, you will run across some crazy souped up rare monster who will take your army out single handedly. Lacks flexibility etc. Ofc this is in PvM. In PvP, it would get torn apart by a IK barb.

Yep. Namely the Physical immune, stone skinned, lightening enchanted and fanaticism-aura baddies. Sometimes you just gotta know when to run.
