Hey guys, Its news but I thought that I should post it in here in case someone wants to flame Vick. I personally don't understand why athletes keep trying to get drugs on planes. I mean I understand that they are trying to have a good time or whatever, I'm not really judging them on that. I just don't know how they think that in todays day in age that you are going to be able to get any drugs on a plane...Your chances of getting caught are so much greater now. I just don't know why you would chance it and face ridicule.

Vick entered an airport concourse Wednesday morning with the 20-ounce bottle. His initial reluctance to turn over the bottle aroused suspicion among airport security screeners, a police report said. He eventually handed it over and boarded his flight to Atlanta.
Police said the bottle was sent to the Miami-Dade County crime lab.
Vick did not immediately return a phone call early Thursday.
"We plan to look into the matter and discuss it with Michael Vick before having any further comment," Falcons spokesman Reggie Roberts said.
Under Florida law, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in prison and a $1,000 fine. First offenders rarely do any jail time.
Two Transportation Security Administration screeners recognized the 6-foot, 215-pound Vick.
Vick's younger brother, Marcus, is a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins. Michael Vick was the overall No. 1 draft pick in the 2001 NFL draft. In 2006, Michael Vick passed for more than 2,400 yards and also topped 1,000 yards rushing.

Mike Vick is a joke anyways, in a few years Vince Young will be the hype. Send him to jail for playing on a shitty team and being a shitty QB. Better yet I hope he tears his ACL in the preseason.

i think that he just needs to be with the right system. Many quarterbacks that weren't that awsome in certain areas of their game were still successful because of a system that was in place.
I think that he is a great athlete, not such a great quarterback. But this year none of his recievers could catch the damn ball either.

Well, if I was a coach I would have a QB and a RB. Not a 2 for 1 cheapo. At least Vince has size, because Vick is puny compared to the defense.

Yeah but his speed and his moves are some of the best in the NFL. Its just that he has to be in the right system. I am assuming that if He played for Denver, a system like that would be perfect for him.

I mean its not like I really care if they smoke weed. Its just could you keep it on the DL? I mean so many regular people...and athletes have gotten caught for it. I know that I wouldn't risk millions of dollars in Salary and endorsements just to smuggle a little bit of weed on a plane.

A good point, but would it be any smarter to buy weed from some dude you don't know while your'e out on the road?

I hope he ends up like Ricky Williams playing in the CFL because he can't stop smoking weed lol. I would choose the NFL over weed every day of the week, you will be set for life and after you retire you can smoke all the weed you want so why not play and enjoy your career while you have it?

Yeah but its different then me and you. I mean these guys are rich, they know connections and things like that from other players or famous people who do it in whatever area they are in. Besides that they have their "crew" who can go out and get it for them.

I hope he just believes in the cause and doesn't mind negative publicity to show that the prohibition of certain plants and chemicals gets us absolutely nowhere. Think: Not Vick, but Billy Yank. He would have been detained immediately, he would have been booked, he would have been charged. They probably would have gotten said Billy with the 'ole felony of crossing state lines..
But he's Michael Vick. Nothing will happen with this case.

He does have a carrer he is one of the most popular players in the NFL. I guess one problem I have heard is that The new coach might want to have Schaub start instead, and trade away vick.

The only reason he is one of the most popular players in the NFL is because the "experts" say he is good... They also have said stupid things such as they would rather have Randy Moss than TO... I wish people would form their own opinion instead of listening to those assholes.
