diablo on vista?

Does anybody know if diablo II is playable on windows vista? :/ my friend had the beta version and it didnt work..but now when vista is realeasd can anybody tell me if it works and if mh works aswell? thanks for answers!

I don't see why it wouldn't work...But i suggest not getting vista its just to buggy right now imo....I think Microsoft would lose out on a lot if they didn't let games work with there windows

I personally don't know much about vista and don't plan on getting it for maybe a year or so....Its pointless to upgrade right now and i just dont have the money to toss around...I have seen the beta version of vista and i was able to run a lot of things...I don't play diablo any more but i was able to bring it up...

Im using vista right now and diablo runs great on it. Vista is makes my life so much easier the sad part of vista is u need atleast like 500mb of ram in order to run it and like a 40gb+ hard drive but my gg comp works fine with vista.

I think microsoft is smarter than to take any file with the word "hack" in it and label it illegal. In case you didn't know, hacking is a verb, meaning to cut through wood, or something of the like
Plus im very serious, it's not illegal to "own" a maphack. That's like saying its illegal to use cheats when you play a game, or like saying gamesharks for consoles are illegal.

vista is okay. makes a few of the older games lag to hell. It also pings like crazy on data that is personal and non-personal. Its requirements are a bit high. A few of the future game requirements when running vista is 1.5gig mem plus a 512mb v-card....makes longhorn look superior.

As for D2 working on Vista if you just set it to Direct3D or whatever the 3D setting is it works fine.

works fine on vista..just vista seems to run more bg stuff than it should..as for its future games...rofl. dont crap yourselves since it uses a buttload of mem and hd space for them..ironically, diablo 2 for my vista labby seems to crash on que. it doesnt like playing on an iso much not to mention it uses more mem for some weird reason...usually it uses a 51.1 marked mem normally on my stuff. but for vista, its running about 196.3...if you plan on getting vista, get ultimate version...home is a bit gappy and the pro one is not as bad...but still gappy..

Edit: Just realized something....Vista reminds me of a version of mac with linux slackware/xandros.. maybe the rumors of them copying other os systems was true..
