Hello,
I had many more, but the good FAQs around here answered them.
I still have 9 questions and need to hear word from experienced players.
(1) If I let my Valkyrie kill the mob, do I get the same drops I would get if I handled those kills myself?
(2) If I receive help from the Valkyrie, bosses and their minions seem to drop junk more often (like 9 out of 10 times).
If I face such threats alone, instead, I always get some item worth a look.
Just a coincidence?
(3) Drop-wise, is killing with ranged weapons the same as killing with melee weapons?
If I fry a pack with Lightning Fury I seem to get less items (be them junk or more valuable stuff).
But if I kill the same monsters one by one, using my melee attack, the number of dropped items is consistently higher.
Can you confirm or deny?
(4) I know that a high level Valkyrie can spawn with gear that can have (virtually) any power attached to it, including Magic Find % -if I'm correct-.
Do the rules in effect for mercs (about MF) apply to the Valkyrie as well?
And what about the Assassin's Shadow Warrior/Master?
(5) If a Barbarian NPC (like those roaming the Bloody Foothills) kills a monster, do I get all the experience for the kill, part of it, or none?
(6) If I set Charged Strike as my primary Melee attack (Amazon character) the attack rating in the LCS disappears.
At times I fail to properly hit a monster, but the charged bolts (from Charged Strike) are released nonetheless.
Isn't Charged Strike another attack of the "Always Hits" family, even though the Melee part of the damage doesn't always apply?
(7) When my Stash is full of items (gems, runes, etc), I seem to find less and less items of that same type.
As soon as I make room in the Stash, I return to find gems and runes consistently.
Just my impression?
(8) About runes and runewords.
I noticed (hey, I notice a lot of things : ) that when I prepare a set of runes for a runeword, as soon as the set is ready for use, the game *stops* to drop me items worth of placing that very runeword on them.
But if I break the set (throwing away a rune) or if I avoid to upgrade (up to their final stage) the runes I need, then the game drops me good socketed items on a, let's say, regular basis.
Actually this is more than just an impression (I experienced many cases when playing with the Assassin) but I'd like to hear about it from better informed players.
(9) The "Peace" runeword lists a "5% Chance to Cast a Level 15 Valkyrie on Striking".
That 5% means 1 out of 20 successiful attacks, no?
But the autocast Valkyrie gets summoned much more often than that.
Sometimes I get 2 or even 3 Valkyries within 10 hits, while other times I don't get one for extended periods (though the latter case happens quite rarely).
Is the game's random number generaor just flawed (poor distribution of odds) or is effectively the chance to cast the Valkyrie higher than the listed 5%?
