Why Xbox 360 sucks and Halo is overrated.

I'm sure many of you have been caught up in the Halo 3 hype but you know what, it is an overrated game on a defective and already past it's time console.

Here's why...

Xbox 360, where do we start red rings of death? Still using DVD's? Hmm...

It's major downfall comes from the fact that it has been out for two years nearly and the problems have not been solved with the red rings of death? There are people who have had their console's repaired multiple times, that is just unacceptable.

Another downfall comes from the fact that you have to buy an EXTERNAL HDDVD drive for it. You have to spend another $100 just to have FULL HD. DVD's can only play HD up to 480p while BluRays and HDDVD's can play in 1080. People who say they are playing 360 games in full HD are ignorant on the fact obviously. It will never be able to push the graphics of the PS3. Why buy the HD drive separately when you can buy a PS3 with it ALREADY INSTALLED?! The price on the PS3 is worth it if you have an HDTV but people still complain about it.

People say the 360 has better games, which is not entirely untrue because they had a 1 year head start on the PS3. They fail to realize that PS3 hasn't had very much time to build a library.



The Halo hype...

I dont see why this game is held in such high regard. Unreal Tournament is a much better multiplayer game and Killzone is a much better single player game. The story pretty much sucks which leaves you with multi-player which isn't that fun. It is a failed attempt at a fast paced game. Bungie needs to go back to making Mac games... Oh wait they would be making PC games now because Microsoft bought them lol.

Well now you have the facts so you can be miserable with your 360 while I wait a few more months to buy a PS3. Also people who say that 360 has better multiplayer games obviously haven't taken a look at Warhawk, it was developed strictly multiplayer so it is bound to be better than Halo 3 on Xbox Live. The original Xbox was ahead of it's time but the 360 is garbage. End of story.

What I don't like about PS3 is the fact that many of their rights were tossed away. ATM there is not a single game on the system that I'd even want to play. Loved my Wii for a short while but now I regret buying it, the only 2 games I played for the most part was Zelda and Metroid, neither have replay value and I finished em in like 5 hours. The only thing that keeps me hooked to 360 over any of the other systems is Xbox Live. You could have Halo, or Ghost Recon, or Gears of War on 360 and PS3 and I'd still choose it on 360 over PS3. As far as I know Sony still has a PoS online setup. All the games that were hyped up on PS3 so far have had fatal flaws, i.e. Lair and the lack of an option to not use the motion sensor thing, so until the developers can figure out what people like it's going to continue to fail as a system.

Wii is a gimmick anyways I wouldn't spend 200$ on that POS. I would rather have buttons than motion, and the only reason it is selling so well is the price tag.

Patience is the key, give it a few years and people will be saying the same thing about the 360 then as they are saying about the PS3 now.

True, the 360 has faulty things that should of been fixed, but the graphics look much the same. Although the PS3 will have better graphics, remember graphics don't make a game, game play does. Graphics are in second.


Warhawk is won't be a good multiplayer game in the end, because all you're doing is shooting other people down over and over again. Sure you could say that about Halo 3, but then their are many variables that come with it that make it just that great game.

I fail to see how the story sucks, so enlighten me (I already beat it on legendary), it seems pretty solid and good. So it either matches killzone or beats it. Now there it depends all on taste.

Now replayable value from Halo 3 is great. Not only do you got your social and ranked multiplayer games to have fun with, but you now got forge so the possibilities are endless on what you want to do. Then there are custom games which speak for themselves. Back onto campaign, now you got points which wind up for more replayability. Oh did I forget, the tricking? Go to a site called mythica. (org or com) and look at all the trick vids, or just go to the site highimpacthalo.org. You will see Halo tricking at its best and how much people actually played the 2 other games. You don't think they won't do this with Halo 3?
This game is huge, bigger than you think.

I hope they can do some glitches, that kept me busy on Halo for a few months when I was bored of just matchmaking. Wish they didn't toss low ceilings everywhere. ATM I made a game in Forge that has potential. I could use some testers.

The only thing PS3 had/has going for it was the fact that it played in full HD. For those of us not vested in HD 360 and Wii are the better choices since I have no intention of dumping $1500-$2000 in a TV and then another $400 to $700 in a gaming console just so I can oogle the graphics. The only place I ever spend that much money is when I'm computer shopping.

neways, I must say that ur arguments are aiming directly to the PS3 and not the Wii. Of course the PS3 has better graphic capabilities, the reason y no1 is buying the PS3 is bcus of it's $600 price point and there isn't good enough games out yet. PS3 will have to wait for games like MGS4, Killzone, and ff13.

For the 360, its all about game selection and many games to choose from. It's has a great online system that is worth $50 a year. Plus u mentioned it only plays DVD and u must buy a add-on. As for Halo 3, it's the fact of its realistic setting in the future with its futuristic weapons and vehicles. Halo 3 demonstrates a well putout story arc and fun multiplayer with friends.

AS for the Wii, it's all about fun. It has a motion-sensing game controller and tons of games out as well. For the online, it's not Nintendo's strategy. Their strategy is to bring new gamers back and old gamers as well.

So overall, ur arguments don't really match up because you put out values and graphics. But video games is all about fun and playing video games. For the PS3, it doesn't have that yet and you gotta wait for the PS3 to have that.

I personally think the game play that the Ps3 is moving towards is pretty ridiculous. I don't like how they remove health bars and stuff and make it look like the whole thing look like a movie. To me I like to keep the health bar and stuff on the screen. XD

@ Slashbomb Think of it this way... A console is an investment. Do you want to wait a few years and be dissappointed or wait a few years and be impressed? I choose the latter.

@ Obfuscate I watch sports as well and would like TV in HD so I am looking towards the future you are thinking in a past and present state of mind. The prices on HD's will continue to drop so like I said above a console is an investment.

@ BlueBleeder Halo's story is boring. Period end of story. The forge is something modders have been doing since Halo 2 and it is just now being added as a standard feature of the game, big deal. I don't see why I should have to pay $50 a year just to play online, because I honestly don't care about rankings... Even if I did PS3 is going to have leaderboards and whatnot so why should I pay to be ranked? It is not worth it.

Well if you are like me and know how to find deals, I pay 10$ every 14 months for my subscription. And B.) You aren't paying for leaderboards lol, you are paying for the entire setup they have going. Sony's online is done game to game right? Like you'd have to meet up with your old friends on the old game to tell them your name on the new game? Idk if they are still like that but i remember trying to meet up with the same people from Socom 1-3 and it sucked.

I have friends that play SWBF2 online of PS2 still and guess what? THEY HAVE A FORUM. If you put in a little effort it is not hard to get in touch with people in games. Free forum hosting is extremely easy to find nowadays so it really is not worth paying for.

I never said they would stop making games for the 360 but it will not have the quality games that PS3 will have in the next few years... Halo big deal. IDK if people host dedicated servers on XBox Live but they do on SWBF2 at least. I know you can't have dedicateds on Battlefield 2 but I have never messed with Socom online enough to know. GG Xbox.

For me, I own a Wii and it is really fun. I played Madden 08 on party mode and it was really fun. Really worth it's $250. Plus, more people plan to buy it's, it's a friend/family console. And the theory of game play > graphics may come true.

The PS3 will be good but it's just struggling right now. There aren't a whole lot of good games to buy on it and it's price point doesn't help at $600. Gonna have to wait for the big guns to roll out + a price drop. Plus, we talk about exclusives. PS3 lost a lot. Their online is free but it isn't good.

For the 360, many people like to play Halo because it's a realistic futuristic game. Weapon's, vehicles. So UT3 does compare and the PS3 version will probably be better. Online is killer and people who like to play online and online w/ their friends.

Put it this way Sony always have left room for improvement for their console right up until the end. Consider the graphics if Devil May Cry when it came out to that of go of war 2.

Where as Xbox has reached it peak and thats it, wait until developers can really get a grasp on the PS3 and then it will hit back hard at the market.

I have had already purchased a HD Plasma so it was no problem for me to go the PS3, I have already bought Blu-Ray movies for it and man is it awesome.

For something like a console with extremly limited to no upgrade capability added in with the fact that in 2-3yrs the next next gen of consoles will be coming out its a horrid short term investment when compared to any of the other current gen consoles available with a lower price point.

HDTV I can see as a long term investment, but the current price of a decent HD set and other "required" accoutraments, none of which I have, just isn't appealing considering I'd rather be saving to buy a house.
