Hell mephisto, what am i doing wrong?

Don't give up on Mephisto. Easiest way to kill him with any Sorc is tele all the way there, nip over the river to wake him up, then tele back across the river, and sit on the left hand platform, outside where Bremm Sparkfist sits (apologies if thats wrong, I may have my names mixed up) and Firewall/Blizzard him to death. Don't walk back to far cos you'll wake up some Summoners and don't go in Bremm's room either. If you wanted to play it safge you could kill them all first. Added bonus is you won't get hit by Mephisto, so you can MF up to your eyeballs.

Mephisto has a habit of taking every inch of your time and soul before he'll drop anything vaguely useful. But if your after mid-level elite or exeptional uniques, he beats pindle hands down. I once ran pindle for a whole weekend on 1.09 and came out with a sprained index finger and a Shako. Ahh good times...

Ok one problem is that if your sorc is just for magic find then you shouldnt be a fire sorc. Fire is fine for dueling but blows nuts compared to blizz for mfing. My sorc is a blizz sorc and kills Meph fast as hell. I had a fire sorc and changed to blizz because it was so so so much better. this is what i use for mfing

The nice thing about blizz is that u dont have to sacerfice mf for skills because blizz kills fast even without skills





oh and its not always the mf its the speed and repetiveness that gets u the items

Yes definately bot all the way. I used to have a bot, but she got banned, along with ALL my characters. If your going to bot, make a new account, preferably with a different CD key. I think D2JSP do the best one I've seen.

You always drop more with a bot, probably because it's more repetitive, I agree with Silent, it's not your MF, if the number of runs you do in a short space of time.

I have a blizzard/ice blast sorc with all synergies maxed.
y just tele up to him and he dies on 5 ice blasts.
i think thats probably the fastest way to kill him

and she kills meph very fast.

well i don't pack mf on my char so much, i had 500 and it doesn't find me anything real good, but hey i learned to keep my mf down low...enough...so i can kill faster and let the best be fruitful from there...i just found a couple war travs and a valor by doing so...laterz, i hope that helps u some

it is best to have a handful of 7 smfcs; doesn't matter how many, as long it is below the minimum of 300-400...range...it kills the idea to pump more mf...guys...the best advice is...don't take advice from those who think they are big; doesn't mean u can't do it yourself. well experiment and test out your mf, see where it takes u, and stick with it i cut down 300-400 in mf items and look at me, no more :eep: for me...

well, also another thing is...the death field for the boss...like mephisto, if u get him into the opening and no where near the pilars, u can get good drops, or near the portal or above that near the portal,...i found out that gazes and shakos, of that sort are found in that lot, oh yeah another thing, uhhh, the more ppl in the game it is harder to get good drops i found out by myself...u tend to have more deaths than having good drops, so watch out. i saw ppl swearing a lot after dying to baal and mephisto in hell :o not cool...lessons to be learned by those play with virtue or experience, experts...naw, they are like us, still learning GL guys

i don't know about 450 sounds slow, but anyways ><
