Is this a bug or a feature? (str req)

Ok im playing closed bnet hardcore Europe ladder and i started out with a hammerdin. At a high level i found out that i put way too many points in str (124base str) which was actually way too much for what i needed (103str for enigma)

So now i remade the char and i didn't put a single point in strength, at this moment im level 81. The deal now is that i can equip the enigma using torch anni and a few str rings, once i can use it enigma gives me 60str which adds up to a total of 123str so more than enough to use it.

When i enter a new game however the enigma gets red and i have to re-equip it using the str rings etc... This kind of sucks.

Is this normal? I was under the impression that you could just rely on the +stats on the items once you wear them from the start. Does anyone know a workaround or have any tips/ hints/ experience with this?

And if there is not, should my base strength then be enough with anni and torch and any other +str items to carry the enigma?

It is probably a bug, not a feature. Since you say that you did not put any points into str, and you are using torch, anni, rings, etc to equip it on, you glitched it on to yourself. Glitching is when you use non-gear like charms to wear certain armor, weapons, etc. All this basically does it make it so when your in games, you appear as you are wearing nothing to other people, but to you, you appear as of what you wear. It only shows on someone else's screen.

If this is annoying you just add a couple of points into your str so you don't have to keep re-equipping.

Turns out it was a very weird bug... On coincidence i switched a ring i had equipped for a new ring i found (no strength on either ring, only resists and fcr and some other random stats) and from that point on i keep my enigma equipped from the start without any str switching. Well im happy now at least, but the "why" remains a mystery.

Yeah, I experienced the death and then not being able to wear it, got so annoying that finally ended up putting a shit-load of points into strength. You should too.

Well since i play hardcore i dont really plan on dieing thx for the tips though. Since i swapped the rings its been working just fine. So now im using a 103req armor with only 25 base strength, pretty sweet huh
