Why I'm voting democrat

It's going to start here, because it can be viewed as jokes or it can be viewed as flame. So I'll have Skye read it and she can post it where ever if need be.

I'm voting Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I
know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and
thieves.


I'm voting Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever
I want. I've decided to marry my horse.


I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a
gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas
at 15% isn't.


I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job
of spending the money I earn than I would.


I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is
offended by it.


I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq I trust that the bad
guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good
people.


I'm voting Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell
us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps
will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.


I'm voting Democrat because I'm not concerned about the
slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row
inmates alive.


I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not
be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break
even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution
as THEY see fit.


I'm voting Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to
rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe
kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters.


I'm voting Dem ocrat because my head is so firmly planted up my
@#% it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

Just because the media has a McCarthyism-esc attitude towards Socialism doesn't necessarily mean that the Rise of Socialism is a bad thing. Obama isn't even a socialist, it's the media blowing things out of proportion.

Global Warming isn't a myth. The world is getting warmer in a cyclical fashion. The thing is... it doesn't seem to be going at the same rate. I'm not going to say all Global Warming is artificial, but our contributions aren't helping.

Plus... Yeah, Obama said he wanted to redistribute the wealth, but I think it was just an off-the-cuff remark that he didn't intend to be taken so literally. If it would've been written into one of his speeches, maybe it would be a cause for concern, but it was said to the biggest joke since Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, at a rally, rather informally.

His intentions are to close the gap a bit between the wealthy and the poor. Because it's a massive gap.

Still, if the wealthy have worked hard to get where they are today, they shouldn't be punished for it.

If [what we call "dole bludgers"] were getting the wealthy's money, the prime minister would be assassinated within the first week.

Aussie's wouldn't tolerate that.

That's quite a different issue though. The attempts to kill Obama are based on his race, she's talking about them killing the Prime Minister because of policies.

There are people out there that get welfare money because they're lazy and they cheat the system. The system, of course, is not designed for those types.

The fact of the matter is that in every society there are average people, people that don't make the right choices or aren't capable of doing things that will make them rich as hell. And there are quite a few of them. America's all about opportunity, and welfare is used to help prop up those people so that they have some time to get a job again.

I'm not saying the Welfare program is perfect, because it's far from it, but it's a pretty big part of one of both candidate's platforms right now, opportunity for everyone.
