Impossible Kill

Hey guys. Im new to this forum and have a question to start with.

- Is there already a smiliar function in d2nt?

If not, I think, it might be helpful to some.

I do not know, how you deal with immune monsters in your own way, but I belive it is possible to make a function, that would read monster's hp and after an ammount of time (say 3-5 minutes) - If monster hasnt lost the required ammount of health, it will be marked as an "impossible kill".

Case: Lets say that a monster is physical immune and fire immune -> I'v experienced that my fire sorc bot would use a huge ammount of time to try and kill a monster which is immune to fire, with telekinesis (I set her to use telekinesis on immune monsters). Now that the monster is immune to fire and my sorc can only harm it with 10 light dmg at a time, all relies on the merc with a bow Wink.

I am awful at coding (trying to learn it though), so this seems like an impossible task for me alone rolleyes:

Therefore I would like to hear your opinions on, wether this is worthy of spending time on, or if you never meet this kind of problem Smile

Now that I think of it, maybe it is possible for a sorceress to ignore immunes if she is a leech? :p

Well one, there is a skill to use in case monster is immune, but you probably already knew that. laugh:
Anyways, it sounds like a good idea, if it was like 10-30 seconds. Pretty much all bosses except occasionally Baal should be dead within that time, so there's no reason a monster should be living past that amount either. At that time, either you're killing it or you arn't.

Yes. I have experienced this several times - a player would just ignore an immune right away, or ignore it if it took too much of his time. I belive that a feature like this could come in handy for several people. Yet, I know that merc used to kill those monsters at a given time.


My idea is as following:

If monster's hp is more than 70% after 30 sec -> Abort (ignore monster)

Or something for the leech -> If monster immune to (element) -> Abort


Dont know how to put that in words or into my code : )
