.rar file is like a winzip file its just another competitor in the world of marketing it.

if you want to get it work get WINrar and it should just work like WINZIP pretty simple
advantages of WINrar is that it can decompress large files i faster time than winzip also it can read files and unrar then faster than winzip but other than that theres really no differeance
