lost SP char

Anyone understand why i would loose a non-cheated sp lvl 52 barb on V1.10. i was up to the 5th seal of diablo on NM when it froze when i tried to retrieve my dead body. is this because of two corpses or something? when i reset my pc, i went to my hero-editor to see if the character was the same level (because i lvld during the quest) and it said:

ERROR: Character File Header is Not Correct. Character file should start with '55AA55AA' It needs to be corrected before the character is saved! (see extras Window) - Wtf do i do in there?

So i click ok the it says

Warning: The recorded file size is not the same as the actual file size. Unless disabled, this will be corrected when the charcter is saved. i click ok.

then it says that my character isnt even an expansion character. i've been playin v1.10 and ive edited sum of my other chars including this one before. Then, after all this, this comes up.

ERROR: EPC Introductions 'w4' header not found, so cant continue loading file.

Anyone understand any of that?

from what i can guess, ur save game was currupted.. did you try scandisk/defrag? it "Might" work.. but no guarentee

Im guessing its cuz you tried to edit it when a dead body was on the ground with items and the editor might have messed it up, its a guess.

**** really? umm can you pls send the char recovery yazzi? when i looked in my save folder, it still seemed to have the save files. if i did pop it, will i be able to recover it with the program?

well its single player soo... get an editor, remake your character as best as you can, and put in the proper items. then just start off wherever u left off.

mmm, yer thats what ive done. i luckly took heaps of SS when i was makin the char. but still, i was only wearin 3 uniques and 1 set. the rest were rare items. i dunno what im goin to do about my charms. any advice?

When you run it, it recovers I guess

its not a shitty program, i wrote it . actually i just zipped that file specifically for htis website bcuz it comes bundled w/ hero editor and i forgot to put the readme in it. you need to run it at the same time you're running hero editor.
