Ok im a rock fan (ac/dc best band alive). I dont want to dis peoples views on music and shit but i mean rap is way to overrated it is hardly music. They get payed way too much for what they do. They make some words up and say them fast thats about it. I mean rock it takes talent to play drums, guitar, bass, and that shit. But most rap background music is all edited on programs. I say rock all the way.

That was the dumbest argument I've ever heard. You people need to be educated on music Jesus this is rediculous. Rap is just a synthesizer and people talking fast. See I can do it to. Or I can say that rap is all music created from a computer/sound board and attempting to emulate some previous beat or melody they thought was catchy while some guy talks about his drug abuse and attempts to be poetic. hmm.....good job spoon.....but ide like to see you walk into a studio write a rap song....a hook.....find a good beat.....it's alot harder then you make seem....Rock in my opinion might take a bit more skill because they play instruments. Takes talent to play them. Takes talent to engineer a good flow of words. I could say a negative to rock would be there ever growing need to change who they are with costumes masks makeup....its becomeing more of a vision then music nowadays. I never see rapers put on maskes and costumes. Rock should be more focuse on its music.......There going fade away if they don't and rock will be a legend.

And considering I'm a music major in college and lyricist and study the dynamics of music...it's not that damn hard. Oh and those costumes are part of putting on a good show, if they just play the music and that's it what's the point of going to see them? And rappers don't have costumes? Actually now that I think about it you're right it's more of a uniform though isn't it? Fubu with as many shiny objects as they can have in their mouth and around their necks.

spoons right in a way rap has a uniform and people who wear masks and stuff usualy do it to look unique, E.X. maylin manson hes known for his wierd make-up and to make rap u need these things: a beat machine,a rhyming dicionary,and a studio ez as that rock needs:a gutiar,drums,bass,singer,and good lyrics so rock takes more people and talent. i give props to some rappers and none to some others just like rock
