rock or rap?

Yeah, I've really been getting into Floyd lately, my bro got Wish You Were Here from one of his guitar students because he lost his old one. And I just added Dark Side of the Moon to my Winamp list. (I know, it's too late, should've added it earlier...)

Yes those are all great. The on band most ppl think of when rock is mentioned is Matallica (bo-ya), ppl that dont even like rock now matallica. and im sure they have "inspired" many of todays rock bands!

some rap can be decent like the new linkinpark/jay z stuff....some of it i cant stand. it all has to do with your personality. i could never realte to "popping some niggiz in the grill with 9 gats" and i hope i never do relate tot hat.

Not big on either of those. And I can listen to some rap music and enjoy some of the lyrics in how creative or well written they are. One of the best for this kind is Tupac.

i don't really care. I can listen to either really. Don't really like a lot of rap lyrics, but most have a good beat to dance too and such. Almost nothing better than a hot girl grinding against you, ALMOST! LOL. I like a lot of rock lyrics and guitar playing and such. Rock is probably my favorite type of music.

rock is the better of the two to me its metal punk and some(very very very little) alternative i cant stand rap and try listening to your brothers rap music(if you have one)omg its so ****en annoying lol

That kinda sounds like Nu-Metal or possibly Eminem, who sucks just as much.

Rap is the ****er singing about his money, liquor, *****es, hoes, cars, homes, homies, bling, shooting up thugs, spinny rims, badunkadunks, guns, cops. I can't think of anything else. I hope you get hte idea.

i voted rock for 2 reasons
1. in rap all you hear (or see O.o) people jumping around grabbing their balls and screaming out random obscene things
2. rap ISNT music (its been proven)

In rock they complain as well. Music is about expression I applaude anyone that can go in front of millions and express their true feelings and thoughts. It's hard to do and anyone willing to do so deserves some level of respect. But those that go up and simply tell lies just in an attempt to get rich I really can't respect.
