u guys need an argument to back up your choice, i like rock because, or i like rap because, not just RAP IS BETTER, or vice versa. for instance, i dont like most of modern rap because its more of gansta' rap which i dont like(excluding the awesome beastie boys of course, lol), all though i do like rap from way back when it started, in the late 80's early 90's. I like rock more, because i like to have more of a complex and actual score, rather that just a constant beat backing up some kind of poem.

Hey guys ~~ i'd much rather prefer rap over rock any day .. i like the old rap but not too smooth , and the recent rap of the century ... I like rap preferably because i grew up with it with my older brother and now pretty much lol i cant live with out rap especially the older singers .. Wooo HOOO

Rap is CRAP. Now, before you start typing a flame, I have a reason. Listen to a good rock song by AC/DC, or Nirvana. There's barely anything fake in there, maybe a little studio editing and such but basically raw. Rap has so much editing and DJ shit. Plus, most rock songs have a good mood to them, and cheers you up. Rap is about pimps 'n hoes lol. I can wrap too... Yo! Fire! G-Unit! Nigga! [insert random swear or gun reference here] Done! Sorry if thats completely narrow minded but this is a flame so... I just hate rap.

Can't we live united? lmfao. Nah each person likes their own, but why not mix em? Mos Def new album has em both "New Danger" and its a pretty good album. A nice blend if I do say so myself.

Anyway, back to the original intent of the post. Rap is stupid, no doubt about it. It's just a bunch of black people (I'm not racist, this is my opinion), and the choice white people (who actually rap better than the black people) talking about Money, sex and drugs. Another thing that i find better about rock is the fact that most bands arent all about money but rather music, which is what musicians should worry about more in my opinion.
From what ive seen most rappers seem more content with money rather then thier art considering most time you see thier houses they are huge, extravagants, and pointless.
Rock is people expressing them selves or what they went through in life, of course the best example here is still Nirvana.
