how to change ur ip??

i ran bots last night, and this morning i try to connect to b net and some error message came up and said UNABLE TO CONNECT TO BATTLE NET, i think that b net ban my ip. can anyone help thx

I'm not 100% certain, but I am mostly sure that Blizzard doesn't ban ip's. I came to this conclusion because many people have dynamic ip's. For example, I use Comcast cable Internet. My IP changes either every time (or almost) I connect or about once a week (assuming I don't ever disconnect).

Therefore I predict that Blizzard maybe doing a temp ban on your cd key. They started checking CD keys before allowing people to fully connecting to Bnet, even on old games like Starcraft (thats right, you cannot even update through Bnet without a valid cd key). However if blizzard catches you so many times, then your cdkey won't just be temp. banned, but worse. Best of luck to you and hopefully you'll be playing again within the week (or day, or hour, or minute......)

I think different parts of the world have different keys - For instance when people gave away free cd keys they would say if it was Europe or not. So I guess your key is currently banned on certain severs. I am not sure if Asia is grouped with the U.S. though... Maybe your key works in U.S. and Euro, but not Asia, and you're banned from U.S. servers. Maybe there are only two types of servers, America/Asia and Euro.

Either way, I believe it is your key not your ip. As for getting unbanned... well... um... wait... or hack their servers and remove your key from their ban list... or time travel and fix your mistake... or just play Euro servers with 10000 ping... you'll think of something.

lol time travel, well thx for then info tho, i think i will wait till 2morrow night and check if still not workin, i will change cd keys, i have alot of workin once anyway

I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear. Because people can change their ip's easier today than they could in the day of quake world, yes Blizzard bans the keys not ip's. Wizkid your 'rite' on.

Sometimes Blizzard will just ban an account, and not the entire key. If you cannot even get on Bnet, then your key is banned. If you cannot log in under your account, then chances are your account is banned. Banning ips are no longer effective in the fight against spam, etc.

The only way to know is to try forever... It maybe a one day thing, a three month thing, or forever! I wish I knew a better way to tell. But that is often how I tell

This might help, because everytime i run diablo without zoids pickit (i have a seperate folder for diablo without pickit) i have to do this:

1. Select the "run" box
2. type "regedit" (without Quotes)
3. Hit "HKey Local machine"
4. Hit the "+" next do software
5. Find "Battle.net" and delete it
6. Select the "run" box
7. type "regedit" (without Quotes)
8. Hit "HKey Current User"
9. Hit the "+" next do software
10. Find "Battle.net" and delete it

This resets the server list.

When you get to the diablo main menu Select "USEast" or whatever realm you play in because it resets ur realm and u need to select the right one again.

After you delete the "Battle.net" in HKEY local machine the first time you will never have to delete it in there again, just in the HKEY current User

Then you should be able to play, and you will probably have to do this every time you play.
