This is just my own observations but around here in California, the dangers are the preps.

It looks something like this:
Goths - Riddilin kids who got/get ****ed up on zoloft // prozac [poor kids]
Preps - Coke Heads and Drunks

I honestly dont know which ones worse, but id prefer self prescription rather than doctor prescribed state-of-mind.

Well I'm a Freak, and its no different for us. Like 3 doors down from were I live these people make a ice rink in a vacent lot, in winter. So me and my friend were just walking around bored so we just started sliding across in are shoes. They call the police and they had to "ascort" us off the property with the people don't own, and then the police told us this is a quot "to go and smoke in are own yards." It was bullshit I'm only ****ing 14 and I don't even smoke I hate the smell and I don't want to know the taste.

Abio i know what you mean.Exept im not "goth" im more of your hip hop/rap kinda guy,they do the same thing to me they see the baggy jeans the necklace that hangs down to my knees the tim boots and automaticly they think of me as a punk of some sort,ive never been arrested for being in a group of more than 3 but yes they have asked us to move on.Ive been maced for asking a cop to show me two forms of ID,ive been arrested for walking on the wrong side of the street,ive been arrested for using a Porter Potty because it was 2 feet into private property (i had to take a major shit lol) i feel you pain bro and this is not right at all.

This is an interesting thread, tell ya what. In the town I live in, lately there has been supposedly people coming around trying to abduct kids (from this kid who made it up down my road who told his mom who told the cops). Now they have peace police everywhere, and you can get busted for anything! They'll pull you over if you drive into our park, because they think your suspicious of poseession of drugs. Its total bull shit.

You know what I haven't have trouble with cops lately but this is pretty messed up. I'm at the Luxor Steak House in Vegas, very nice place, and I walk in with a Tool T-shirt and some cargo pants on, get nothing when I walk in except a few people peek over. On the way out, these like 80 year old guys in tuxedos completely stop their conversation and just freeze staring at me kind of like "what the hell are you doing here" So I look away and keep walking...I look back and they're are giving me dirty looks...mad dogged by 80 year olds!

Ok Abio, here's my opinion:
A petition might work, but you probably have to make sure they know exactly why you are petitioning it. Pleaing that it is unconstitutional/profiling might scare them so much of the media (thats the key) that they get rid of the law. My main suggestion would be to try and drag the press in on it somehow, cities can't stand to look bad and that would probably be the most effective way of getting rid of the law.

As for myself, I have faced many similar occasions when I'm with my band. Usually, when I'm alone, a cop/elder/soccer mom will just give me a dirty look, but with my band, it's like we're a walking bomb...the more in the group the more people freak out, and it isn't fair at all, but as long as there is authority, there will be injustice.

i went to the fair today, to see a demo derby, i was with my grnadpa and my family, but im very punk, and i dress it, i was in a military uniform at the time, and evey where i went cops were staring me down, i asked this lady where our seats were adn she called someone else over to deal with me and just looked away, i know what its like , never been arrested tho, but ive had cops search me. same thing at school, teachers can be *****es, always searching my locker, i dont do drugs, but b/c i dress differently and dont copy everyone elses looks, im automatically a bad guy

You need not worrie about the dist. attry's lil *****es... [cops] if you play your cards right you could always put yourself in a career position that will have them eating out of your hand. ie: credit card company/utility/the bank. your the nations next workforce. Petitions are a waste of paper and ink unless you live in Potatoville ,Idaho or w/e. violence is always an option as DoOmEd pointed out but you have to make sure you dont go to far, get caught, or let the situation get to that point without them knowin y ur doing it or that it needs to end for you to stop. the only legit way to make a hint of a difference in the matter (@ ur age) is to involve your parents and a government offical.

yea me and a few of my friends are trying to get a skatepark built in our town, we got support and all that and it dosent make a diffrence the city council wont make one becouse of the simple fact that it dosent concern them it took over 2 years just for them to say that if we raise half the money they will build it and i think the only reason they did that is cuzz they know that none of us are gunna raise the money becouse anything we get from our jobs we need for ourselfs and although we tryied donations not enuff people care we only got like 10 people who would donate somthing
and not having a skatepark is a small mater compared to what hes trying to get accomplished
the way i see it happening now is either if u got like 500 people and started rioting (which would probly just end up with a shitload of jail time but if you were persistant enuff theres a very small chance it would change somthing) or exactly as soundsev put it you would have to get support of somone high up in the law and i dont mean like the mayor or somthing ud need like a senator or somthing anyone lower and they would just not take it sirius enuff to do a hole lot about it

to veck: if a cop tries to search you, ask if he has a warrent, ask to see their badge too, if they refuse then tell them to f- off. if they try to charge you for yelling at them bring it to court and u can show them its under the constitution (freedom of speech)

to tahu13: running from cops never does u any good, if they see what you've done, and u run, their gonna bring an a$$ kicking with them.

to abiosis: sign a petition first, if it doesnt work and ur friends are arrested with u some other day, spend some time in jail only if u have a really tough friend so no one will be ur b-itch. anyway then write to the newspapers or just start a rally if u got like +100 people

first off, a cop dont need anything but a good worded excuse to search or even cuff you and detain you in his interceptor for a short time. there is very little you can do about this part of the legal system, it is in place to help in a lot of ways as well. (it use for a possible felony offender, or violent offender will never be dropped by the courts) and your SKATEPARK will only go through in your town if it has insurance. and skatepark insurance is gunna cost more than the type your school has for its football team. (always astronomical) If your school even has one. THIS is gunna be one of your major issues Mr.Tahu...
