I think Sam is awesome. But when it comes to comedy, Peppin is my hero. Then again, Gimli and Legolas competing for the most kills is pretty funny too.

I've read LOTR once a year every year since I was 13. I turn 42 in two days. The movies were great not many changes in the story and thus said, my favorite in LOTR is JRR Tolkien.

It was retarded? How about you lack the imagination for a good fantasy movie? It's one of the most well written stories ever and Peter Jackson kind of messed it up but the movies were still pretty good...not their fault some people lack imagination.

Well i have read the books and i must say i luved them but i also luved the movies i think peter jackson did a decent job on them and must say my fav char is deffinetly Gimli (long live the short stubby dude!!)

Smaug was a dragon that lived inside of an old dwarven mine and kept all the treasure the dwarves found. Thorin is a dwarf who travelled to the mountain with a small party to kill Smaug and take the mine back. Both died.
