help on magic find (new here)

hi, im new around here hehe. I had a couple of questions. I downloaded an editor, Hero Editor v0.8 to be exact. I was in an open battle.net game one time with someone and without being allied or anything I would go to kill something and whatever I killed would drop it's max ammount of items all in uniques and set items. Does anyone know what is required to do this? I think it was because of the other player in the game, is it a combined magic find? I myself tried to make a few charms with max magic find + magic find based on level and I have not seen any change what so ever. Am I doing something wrong? Does it not work in single player?

secondly, I am very new to editing items I wanted to know if anyone had some experience with creating items with all auras on them. I am unfamiliar with making my own equippment but I would like to completely edit the name of an item to fit what I want it to be. I am not sure if this can be done or not but I was just wondering.

lastly, what does "ladder only" mean? does it mean you can only get an item in a battle.net game. I personally would'nt mind having one of those Tyreal's Might Sacred Armor's but if I can only get it on battle.net then I guess not hehe.

1) Welcome to D2sector.net , Enjoy your stay.

2) To your first question: You can use hero editor to boost your items with max mf + mf base on char lvl (put this on all your charms, items, rings, merc stuff, etc. ) iIm not sure if this would actually drop ' MAX LIMIT of item, you might as well get a item drop mod for it.

3) You can put aura's on items, as much as you want, BUT I dont think you can stack auras. Ive tried this, and maybe its just me, but some auras overlap others and wont work. Ex: I used fanat aura, Convic and Vigor aura all on same item and it would only show Fanat aura.Althou Ive seen open chars have tons of auras on at the same time.

4)Ladder is a whole new start, with no one have more items/ power over another. There is no ' 290's, C-grips, etc. Everyone starts from scratch once ladder comes out. Ladder 'season' as it is called, ends whenever Bnet feels that its time to start a new ladder. Ladder 1 went on for about 9-10 months. Also, There are some items that can ONLY be found on ladder, such as Griff Eye, Tyreal, and only some runewords work on ladder.

Ok with auras you gotta put each one on a diff item. Otherwise only one will work. I figured this out not too long ago. One thing is though if you want to make a char just stand there and everything dies just make it so under the passive option it does max cold/fire/lightning master, and the pierce. It will increase dmg buy the auras holy fire, holy shock, holy freeze. just put the passive for what ever aura you use. Do it multible times. if it turns out doing neg dmg meaning none just lessen the amount of times you did the passive thing.
