Hurricane

Actually a tornado of any category moves anywhere from 50MPH-150MPH(and some can actually exceed 200), not wind speed, I mean how fast the funnel actually moves across the ground. Wind speeds and size are the only things that vary directly with the category.

You have that backwards. The windspeeds can exceed 200 MPH. But when it's going across the ground, the fastest might be 100 MPH.

I said can exceed 200, and a "perfect" tornado can reach a top wind speed of 300. And I happen to know for a fact that a tornado can move across the ground at easily over 100MPH because not only have those statistics been said on the news many times, but for the plain and simple fact that you can't outrun a tornado, plain and simple. If one heads your way, just take cover and pray if you believe in God because if a F5 tornado heads your way with winds gusting up to 300MPH and moving at nearly 200MPH over the ground, uhh, your screwed..lol

Back on topic, wait was the topic about Hurricanes or someone just lashing out because of the Hurricane? Well, either way this puppy in the Atlantic has already called for an immediate evacuation of all coastal areas. My poor friend going to college down there thinks he is invulnerable. Said he'll go to the gulf side of Florida and will be fine there.

Well, perhaps I should send him pictures of what a category 1 hurricane did here last fall. Note that I'm nearly 75 miles inland, but that F5 down there now would cover FL like a blanket, not to mention to possibility of it spawning tornadoes. Tell him to get his arse outta there while he still can...

I tried, but he doesn't wanna drive. he insists that his friends 2 story condo is hurricane proof. I said u'll still be saying that when the water flow exceeds the roof.

Hah! that damage is nothing. In the middle of Hurricane Charley , i had a hurricane go right through the middle of my house, my neighbors backyard, and my other friends house. they lost 90% of their shingles, 5 broken windows, 2 30 year old trees broken, and over 7,000 dollars of Fence//roofing damage. I have pictures on my camera i took last week but im not going to get them developed till i get my allowance lol. (mom is taking it away lol.) Ill post them when i get my $$$
