No, you're way off pace. Anime is the basis of japanese cartooning (i.e. pokemon, yu-gi-oh, inuyasha) and Magna is anime as comics.

Japanese style graphic novels are commonly refered to as Manga, although some people consider Anime that has a more human like characteristic to the characters to be Manga aswell.

someone asked what FLCL is but i do not think anyone answered him / her...
FLCL is the name used for the anime Furi Kuri, but the english translated version was called Fooly Cooly. Very VERY funny, but makes little to no sence 80% of the time. =)

People go look in the dvd section at a music store and buy something with better drawing...
