It should be lawfull to marry, but no big issue, afterall we are all human, no one should have any higher status than anyone else.

well if you think about it, those are the things that voters look for, especially in the US. i seriously mean that one word for or again gay marriage can sway more than a million people. look at the 2004 election. this is issue is of very high imoprtance.

when people run for president, they usally talk about how they would change the counrty, through economics, and education, and foriegn relations and tax cuts and all of these other things. gay marriage is a sticking point for many people. it should not be however, and when i vote i will support the best candidate that shares my views, even if one or two of his ideas are different than mine.

in my opinion, gay marriage is no bigger a deal than regular marriage. it's the religious zealots out there who make a big stink about it and now we have politicians who can say yes or no to gay marriage but have no idea how to balance a budget. that's what's important. not something so trivial such as whether gays should be allowed to marry or not. come on, now.

Well seeing how one of my best friends is gay I have no problem with gay people. Now he isn't the flamboint gay type, for he is a old school metal head. The way I look at it, what they do is up to them as long as they don't try and do it to me. I know a few homosexual people and they respect my boundary.

well when i was younger i didn't know what to think of gays. but then i slept over my friends cousin's house(with my friend) and my friends cousin was a lesbian and her girlfriend lived there too. i relized after being around them that gay people are just like anyone else and if you didn't know it, you'd think they weren't gay. so yes, i agree with gay marriage. even if we deny gays marriage they're still gonna live together so whats the difference. and i'm fine with gay guys as long as in no way do they hit on me or do anything with another guy in front of me.

One thing lots of you guys said. "I am fine with gay people and gay marriage as long as they aren't doing anything in front of me." In my opinion, that kinda doesn't make sense. If you are fine with two opposite sexes making out in front of you, why aren't you fine with two of the same sex making out in front of you? If you seek equality for all, you should also ACCEPT it no matter what form it takes. Comments?
