hero editor for battlenet

hey guys , to make it short n sweet I need to find out if its possible to use a hero editor for your battlenet characters?..., becuz I have a hero editor and I know how to do it for single player game. I hope someone can explain it to me if this is at all possible.

Hero Editor only works for Sp and open bnet...short and sweet =)

But I dont know how to get it to work for open bnet or if im useing the right program which is "Hero editor v0.80" please let me know what to do , thanks

yea...its hero editor...
Open hero editor...and select a d2 char from urd2 saved folders...its done..

I tried that but it doesnt show my character from my single person games it doesnt show my battlenet character that i just recently made, can u trouble shoot that for me please.....? im just frustrated, like if u could give me a step by step way that'd be great , thanx

U make the char through Single Player...Example u name him/her "Devil"..
This "Devil" will be saved in "C:\***\Diablo II\Save" [***=your own folder or "Program Files" if u save default]
Next open HE..."Open" and select the char u made...
Ill like to see again...its for SP and Open only...

Your single player characters should transfer to open Bnet automatically so if you edit your SP character those edits will automatically take effect for the open Bnet character as well.

For Battlenet...you'll just have to go hack into Battlenet and write us all a program that will allow us to edit characters in closed battlenet...it would make the game pointless then though so dont do it...and get you arrested for hacking.

and just to clarify something so I know its correct , "OPEN" is where u play with a bunch of people in the battlenet , correct, if yes then thankyou for all your knowledge.... its appreciated

thats the problem , it doesnt transfer my characters to bnet , they are only in the offline/sngle player section and i wanna be able to play with them on bnet

You can't play on Closed B-net realms with any character made in open/single player. That simple.

Hero editors only work on single player characters. Single player characters can be played on the open realms (but it is full of hacks). The only hack really available for closed battle.net is maphacks and pickits.

ok, hero editor only works for single player characters, and if your sp chars arent showed, it either means your in wrong directory, or they are the wrong version maybe. As for bnet, NO. Not on closed bnet. The characters are stored on there servers, so there is no troubleshootin or ever finding the character to edit. Hero Editor is for sp or Openbnet. It can be used as a learning experience too.:laugh:

Hero editor is a program that allows the user to modify any aspect of his single player characters on Diablo II. bnet is an abbreviation for Battle.Net, the server upon which blizzard operates Diablo II multiplayer.

Ok, nomatter what you do you cant edit a closed b.net character with the HE. but shouldn't there be another way to change the stats of a closed character. like wouldn't it be possible to edit a closed character with the use of packets???

but i'm saying, what if someone were to actually GO to the b net servers, and tap into them. wouldn't that be possible? with the actual tangible servers? the characters and stuff have to be stored SOMEWHERE....

ok, first, if u had yourself someone who could get into bnet and change the chars, you have yourself an international spy that could take james bond out of business...lol. And, if they could do that, then y would u be changing diablo2 characters, when you could be transfering money from banks and stuff. lol. Ya, well, i believe that the only way you are going to change the closed bnet chars is by being at the server and opening a hero editor on that server, which will NEVER happen....i dont think anyways :p
