Does anyone know what's up with this bug or if it's even classified a bug? I havn't tried crafting sockets into armors since 1.11b came out, so I don't know if it still exists. Armor has 50% more defense from being ethreal, then is crafted and gains 50% base more defense, and I have a feeling it isn't suppose to do that since weapons and helmets don't.
I havn't tried, and i'd rather not blow a socket quest just for testing - does the socket quest do the same thing if you insert an ethreal armor? I'm guessing that socket quest is better than crafting only because you can do this to superior items not just plain. I need to know incase I find like a 15% ED Ethreal Archon plate without sockets. If the socket quest also bugs the defense, then I would definetely give it a shot for a hopeful merc fortitude.
