Pro choice or pro life?
#1
Your thoughts?

My thoughts, when I'm able to give birth, I'll feel I deserve to have an opinion. Having kids myself, I sometimes I wish for retroactive abortions. But in general, I believe it's completely up to the woman.

Pro-choice... Screw having a child that you're going to abandon and potentially destroying their self-confidence when they think they aren't loved.. In fact, I don't believe in keeping a severely retarded child alive, either.

I'm not trying to intentionally p!ss anyone off, but those that are severely retarded (I'm talking about confined to a bed or wheelchair for their entire life and can't process complete thoughts) are more of a harm to society than they can ever help.

Better yet:

I'm pro choice. Women's decision, not a Christians choice.

Come on, this is ingnorant generalizing. I know plenty of Pro-Choice Religious Christian women. That is total garbage. So step back and don't throw out insults like that.

Just because you are Christian, doesn't make you Pro-Life. That is blatant generalizing and won't help your argument at all. Regardless of what a religion says, it is the person's choice to follow what they believe.

For instance, you don't follow every law in America because you find some stupid. The same goes for religious folk. They don't follow every law their religion tells them to. Do the math, Mr. Language of the Universe.:p

Get off your "this is such blatant Generalization" rant. You know damn well the majority of the wierdos that are anti-abortion are Christians. How you can deny that is beyond me.

It is believed by Christians that abortion is wrong. Therefore if you go by personal beliefs and do what you will, being against abortion means you are against one part of your religion. This is but one of many flaws with religion believers today.

I'm christian, pro-choice. More specifically, the couples choice (mom and dad).

And Nub has a point, most pro-life activists are christians. Generally female.

to me abortion is like an early euthanasia
better to go early rather than suffer heavily

im gonna bet that someone is going to tell a prochoice guy that he should have been aborted

This is kind of related, but different. Why is it that most pro lifers are pro death penalty, and most pro choicers are anti death penalty? I believe in killing everything, but if I had to choose 1 or the other to kill, it would be the criminal I guess.

It's not most Christians, it's most (we could almost say all) practacing Catholics. The Church is very anti-abortion.
I'm pro-life.
There's to many people that want a child and can't have one...like gays!
And the infertile. Of course.

Gays shall not have children, its not cuz they wont love it, its just not natural, and Im 100% sure the child would suffer alot, as peaple wouldnt be very nice against the child just cuz of its parents....just my opinion...and again, its not natural...

I'm pro-choice. I personally would never approve of someone terminating a pregnancy with my child but it's not my place to say that other people can't do it. Also, I think the father should have to be informed of it before the mother is allowed to go through. If the father is unknown or doesn't respond then they should be allowed to go along with it.

and who do you think should be the judge of what is and isnt natural? is drinking a cow's milk natural? are antibiotic vaccines natural? is cooking meat natural?
the reason that the child would be suffering is because of the current attitudes toward gay parents. it's like saying a black couple in a racist town should not have a child because they will be made fun of for having black parents
i see no reason barring gays from having children

are you suggesting that women should carry a child for nine months just so they can put him or her up for adoption? im sure that under gay or straight parents, it's somewhat difficult to be an adopted child

People should be able to do what they want with their own bodies.

Pro choice.

Or maybe make it so the woman has to be less than 3 months pregnanat to get an abortion? That seems fair.

that's another question altogether concerning the debate on when "life" begins in a fetus
