heh i still lag on CS:S with an overclocked Duron (1.6 stock 1.86 right now), 512mb ram, Geforce 6200 OC 256mb AGP card (my agp slot is only 4x blah). i'm gonna try upping my duron a little more i think i can hit 1900 without any major cooling issues, my computer stays constant 38 degrees Celcius right now, thats with one pc fan, on side fan blowing out, and one rear fan blowing fresh air to the processor fan. (oh and if you say anything about having my intake fan in the back you can lick my nuts because my PSU is on top of the computer and the intake is on the bottom, simple science says that hot air rises and cool air settles so i'm sucking in cooler air than whats being blown out so STFU!)

Actually, the reason people will say to have the back as an intake is a) to give you cooling some organization (in in the front and out in the back works better than having random fans blowing random directions), and b) with your PSU exhausting hot air and an intake fan right below it, you will end up sucking a small amount of the hot air right back in. But those are just guidlines, you really have to try everything out for yourself to see what works absolutely best for you. With my old case I had a 115CFM Panaflo sucking in air on the back, sitting right underneath a PSU exhaust fan also. Now with my new case rear fan is an exhaust. Different cases, different cooling needs.

my computers like pretty new id say its only half a year old would that have anything todo with it?

and also whats better a pci express or a AGP card? cuz i have these 2 choices on wich i might buy:

ATI RADEON X850 PRO AGP 256 Video card

and im guessing theres 2 difference slots for ether AGP or PCI Express right? cuz if there is that brings me back to square 1 trying to find out wich slot i got lol

that motherboard is AGP 8x so u would have to go with AGP card

awww no pci-e for you. oh well you should still be fine with an 8x AGP slot. hell i'm only running a 4x AGP slot and i can run a few high end games.

X850 I would think, based on the series of numbers, I'm pretty sure the 850 GPU is better than the 800 GPU.

One thing that didn't get brought up yet is the size of you PSU. How big is it? I would recommed 350 to 400 watts or more.

I meant like the computer model number, assuming it is prebuilt. If not, or it is a custom built (as opposed Dell etc.), you may have to open it up and look at the PSU itself. I would try looking at everest or something first though, it might tell you the PSU power.
