EasyMap/EasyPlay ("Software") is owned by Jan Miller ("Author") and is © 2005 Jan Miller.

By downloading and/or using this Software you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions stated below.

The Author of this Software asserts that while every care has been taken in the creation and distribution of this program and related files, neither the Author, the file host, nor any associated service provider are, in anyway, responsible for any loss or consequential damage that may arise from its usage. The user accepts that they use the Software at their own risk.

The Software is distributed "as is", without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to warranty of fitness for any particular purpose. In no event will the Author, the file host, nor any associated service provider be liable to you for any special, incidental, indirect, consequential or any other damages caused by the use, misuse, or the inability to use of the Software.

The Software has been created specifically for "Diablo II: Lord of Destruction v1.11b" (© Blizzard Entertainment) single player mode only. The Author explicitly prohibits the programs use for any other purpose. Any “anti-detection” functions have been created solely as an intellectual exercise and should not be interpreted as an endorsement of its use on "BattleNet" (© Blizzard Entertainment). Users of this Software disregarding these instructions should be fully aware, that such actions violate the "BattleNet" (© Blizzard Entertainment) EULA (end user licence agreement) and TOU (terms of use). This may result in, but not limited to, the banning (from "BattleNet" (© Blizzard Entertainment) of the associated CD-Key(s) and account(s).

You are not allowed to modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law. You are not allowed to distribute or use any parts of the Software separately. You may make and distribute copies of this Software provided that;
1) the copy contains all files from the original distribution and these files remain unchanged;
2) if you distribute any other files together with the Software, they must be clearly marked as such and the conditions of their use cannot be more restrictive than conditions of this Agreement; and
3) you collect no fee, even if your distribution contains additional files.

The terms and conditions of this licence may be subject to alteration without prior notice. It is the users responsibility to stay up to date. Current terms and conditions will always be displayed on the Authors website: http://www.gamemunchers.net/

Quote:The new signature system (Duplicate of this in MODSIGS_Instructions.txt in your .zip file).

Quote:
MODSIGS Instructions:

1) Load EasyPlay in a channel and join a Battle.Net game
2) Diablo II should quit and create a FAILED_MODSIGS.txt file
3) Open MODSIGS.txt
4) Copy the 64 numbers after "Failed with unknown signature: " from your FAILED_MODSIGS.txt into your MODSIGS.txt file into a new line
5) Close and save MODSIGS.txt

You should now be "good to go" on battle.net! As soon as a new warden signature is encountered, it will be appended to the FAILED_MODSIGS.txt file. Each CD-Key has its own set of warden moduleS!, so you will have unique signatures for each CD-Key. To make identification of what signature is part of what CD-Key, part of your CD-Key will also be printed in the "FAILED_MODSIGS.txt" file.

Attention: I don't suggest to just simply add every signature you come accross. Remember: IF you add a signature you will tell EasyPlay that it's sfe to run under that specific warden module. At release date of EasyPlay 2.0 there is no known (to me) warden module that can detect EasyPlay. Hence, you SHOULD be safe to add the first one/two signatures that're recognized as unknown. IF you encounter more signatures at a later point, you should probably check back at http://www.gamemunchers.net before adding it, just to be sure if others have encountered the same.

Please be aware that there is currently about 2 modules "floating" around. It is safe for you to add them now (30/12/2005).

-Jan

It has been confirmed on Jan's site that it is safe to also add the 3rd mod signature to your modsig file.

That's fine, I can totally understand where you are coming from (and thanks for stating your opinion maturely). Feel free to "test" the program though! All you have to do is load it once and join a game. Obviously the pre-emptive antidetect works as d2 will infact shut the hell down Smile (and this is without any added modsigs - it loads when you add the appropriate sigs). This isn't the main antidetect though, and I don't think Jan has discussed what exactly that is (publically) very much - for obvious reasons Smile

I think it's important for everyone to keep in mind too though, Jan is trying. He could have just gave up and said screw it. He didn't though. His programs have continually become better and will continually do so, so at least support his efforts in that (as a dedicated developer) - whether or not you choose to use his program. Feel free to go to his site if you have questions about any of this (as I really am no authority on the matter) - or you could go to his irc chat and talk to him etc.... and see what kind of person he is (he seems like a pretty [gasp] normal guy to me) Smile

Adios.
